Keisuke is a tough grader, if he says the project has to be turned in at 9 am then the project has to be turned in at 9, not 9:01. I respect him for setting simple and clear grade policies and studio rules. Yes, he doesn't really give feedback, I imagine if you asked him about it he would but I never did. I did see him help those struggling. 10/10

He is a very tough grader but if you show up and make an effort he is more likely to help. Make sure to listen to his instructions because he doesn't like to repeat himself. Will challenge you a lot but will help you think more creatively

Keisuke was a fine professor. If you show up, do the work, actually try, and show that you care you should at least pass the class with a B. If you want an A, take time out of class to do the work. He likes to see that you put in a lot of effort. Also, be creative, he hates unoriginal artwork and is not afraid to say if he hates your ideas.

He is a very blunt person, matter-of-fact, and may come across as short to many people. His class was tough, but grades made sense. I think he is better intentioned than he appears, but his tone could use improvement. Overall, a decent class. He was decent, not great, professor.

Keisuke is respected professor and very talented but the class was not that helpful for me to fully understand the projects. I was struggling most of the time because of unclear instructions. He can be very rude towards students. There were no feedbacks after grading the projects. But as long as you interact with him he will be ready to help.

Comment:

Keisuke is a rude awakening that a lot of new art majors need. He will make you think about the work you're making and expects creative and conceptual ideas. He's a nice guy, funny really, but he's going to make you work for his grade. Most of those who don't like him aren't used to someone criticizing their work, but they need to get used to it.

Ask questions. Ask for help. Show up for class. This is the recipe for an easy, fun semester with Keisuke. The only people in my class that hated Keisuke never bothered to show up on time (if at all), never came in after class, rarely finished assignments on time, and never took his advice.

Very tactless and sometimes mean comments. Offers no extra credit or additional assignments if you are looking to improve grade. Favors some students over others and is less harsh on those he favors. I would not recommend his classes. You aren't allowed to be 10 mins late but he doesn't do anything if you leave 2 HOURS early. Very inconsistent.

Keisuke can be difficult to approach at first, but once you get to know him he is a great teacher. All in all you get out of this class what you put into it; if you put in the time and effort Keisuke will be more willing to offer you help and advice. So far I have had a very positive experience with this professor.

Although it was a difficult class, it made me feel as though I could accomplish the impossible. I recommend taking his class if you are willing to put in the extra effort and time. I had to spend a lot of time outside of class in order to do well. Ask him questions when you can, he is willing to help when you express interest in his course.

His is really nice face to face but thats it. Hard grader, never there for his students, I have taken every project home to finish. due dates are two weeks after you get the assignment sheet never clear about instruction. Gives advice the day projects are due when he could of said something a week before!

this is the worst teacher ever! do not take his class. he play favorites alot! does not help you at all and is hardly around. gets pissy about answering questions. does not give detail when he explains. he seems to be really high on himself. he looks down at his students.

dont take this professor, if you want to call him that. horrible teacher, doesnt explain things. will make fun of you if you have questions. stay away if you can. plays favorites and doesnt understand students ideas, even if they are fairly obvious. hard grader, expect not to get higher than a B. insane, should never teach 3D again.

Yes its true, its a working class. He doesn't explain things very well, especially for tools, I almost cut my finger off, and his grading is unpredictable. if you are a paient person than this class is for you, if not, you might want to try a diffent teacher. over all, His an OK teacher.

I don't feel like I learned a lot in this class, but I thought it was a lot of fun. This class takes a lot of time and effort, and is kind of expensive. If you take the class seriously, don't slack off, and take the chance to warm up to Keisuke you will do just fine.

Keisuke is a very difficult instructor to have. He is very knowledgable about 3D design and ceramics but he is not able to translate it to the students. He is very stricked about what he expects but doesn't explain it to the students until it's almost due. He gives almost zero instructions at the beginning of the assignment then leaves.

If you take time to joke around and get to know Keisuke, he's really fun. I had to work VERY hard on all my projects. I probably spend over $100 on my chair project and about 20 hours!!!! You have to work hard and have fun. I learned a lot. He's a bit intimidating at first. Don't fret, unless you're a slacker!!
