I enjoyed attending Keith's lectures, and most of the topics increased my human geography perspective in satisfying ways. The course was was weighted on three exams, and technical/ detailed information from the lectures. Paying attention to what is being said and taking notes from that would be key. Luckily he grades on a curve.

He was super chill! I'm not a science person and took this class only for GE requirements, but he made it fun and enjoyable. He's really flexible and understanding. Very respectable & has interesting lectures. If you miss class he uploads the slides on canvas. tests are easy just follow the study guides and review the notes. 10/10 would recommend!

Mr. Ducote's study guides that he provided on CANVAS were VERY outdated and almost always did not match with questions on quizes, which by the way were SO long up to 75 questions. I found myself so lost during quizes even after listening and taking down so many notes after lectures. Short answers were easy. I am surprised I passed with a B

I recommend taking this class in person. If you are not a "science person", the material may be very difficult. It is very dense and the class moves really fast. This was probably the hardest class I ever took. It took a lot of work and dedication. We have weekly discussion posts and 4 exams which are very long and difficult.

This was the hardest class I've ever to take. I just wasn't excited or into the way the material was being presented, and I love science! Lots of textbook reading and super hard tests. The video lectures put me to sleep. I don't know, I just didn't groove with this teacher. Four exams and weekly module questions. He does offer extra credit on the e

Mr. Ducote is a fair and understanding professor. Most of your grade is composed of test: the test are on the homework, the text, lecture and maps. If you do the maps (part of homework) you should automatic get about 60 points out of 100 in the the rest of the points and E.C. are on the lecture, homework, you can use 1 3x5 card on the test

Online Geog 2 - Keith Ducote has checked out. I am a 4.0 student and received an A in this class, but was very disappointed in this teacher. Little to no instruction or student interaction, up to a month to respond to email questions, condescending, total trick questions on tests, forgetful, he miscalculated final grade points for everyone!

Spent 2.5 years at Cabrillo College and he is BY FAR the best teacher I had. Took him for both cultural geography and physical geography. He's getting old so make sure you take him before he retires. Also, he wrote my letter of recommendation for admission into my four year college.

Took online. Exams are EXTREMELY HARD! Luckily he gives a good amount of e.c. discussion posts and responses are a must. Not a lot of work in this class overall, but the work that is there is dense, a weekly 2 paragraph post with a 1 paragraph response, 3 exams and a final if I remember correctly. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT, my grade went from a B to A

This guy is an awesome teacher. He is very knowledgeable in his subject, and really WANTS EVERYONE TO SUCCEED. The tests are difficult but Ducote curves the results very fairly and offers extra credit on every test. I highly recommend taking Ducote and I will definitely try to take another one of his classes again.

If the sciences are not your strong-suit then this class is for you. Keith is a good instructor that goes the extra mile for his students. Lectures can be tedious, but he makes physical geography bearable. If you've decided to take physical geography, you can't go wrong with Ducote.

OHDEARME. He's a nice guy, no doubt about that; however, his treatment of the course leaves much to be desired. This class is about "how to be a courteous tourist", rather than how to think critically about culture/society. He kids around a lot which creates a banal, vapid classroom environment. It is an easy A, so go get 'em I suppose.

Ducote is a great teacher who wants everyone to achieve excellence and will help you to do so. He explains the material clearly and thoroughly. If you have a question, ask and he will answer without bias. Class was not very difficult for me, but take notes. You get a 3x5 card to cram notes on for tests.

Knows meteorology very well. Online tests are extremely thorough. Extra credit portions are hard and can frequently have misleading instructions and/or trick questions. Lectures themselves may be boring, but only due to the way they are presented, not because of the material itself. Did not respond to any querying email that I sent him.
