Comment:
Professor Lengle was my first college professor. During the semester, he used a phrase that resonates with me several years later: "Writing is concise." Prof. Lengle is not condescending nor is he demeaning. He is passionate and demands that you are passionate as well. Choose your attitude just as he suggests that you choose your words.

Professor Lengle is one of the most passionate professors I have ever had the privilege of learning from. One can tell by the way he interacts with the class that he truly cares about the material he teaches. I simply can't understand some of the reviews that label him as "condescending"; he is truly one of the best professors I've had yet.

Very interesting, knowledgeable, I learned so much. Enjoyed the interaction in class. He does expect a lot, but hey, this is college people! This class was a confidence booster because I put in the effort and walked away with an A!

He really does enjoy english but i DID NOT enjoy his class. He has a hard grading system and didn"t make lessons easy to understand. I was uncomfortable asking questions because of the way he would respond. Everything was so technical. Half way thru the course almost half of the class was debating whether or not to drop his class

He is very excited by language and literature. His assignments are difficult. He is like a "real" professor, not typical of community college. He is very willing to help you if you need it. He is challenging, but worth it.

Excellent teacher. Tough, but fair. He tells you the first day what he expects and you are held to it. Not an easy class.

First class I took at SCCC. This guy is awesome. He takes the English language quite seriously - anyone looking for an easy ride should avoid Prof L. at all costs. However, if improving oneself's ability to write comprehensive and coherent sentences is the desired outcome, I highly recommend this guy. He's there to teach, no doubt about it...

Unless you are an older non-traditional student, do not take this class with him. Those students are his favorites. He hates younger people and enjoys every chance he gets to degrade them. I consider myself pretty mature for my age but he treated me like I was a dummy. Save yourself a headache and take someone else.

If English isn't your strong point, he will rip you to shreads. Your confidence will lower. He is extremely confident about his qualifications and his opinion is the only opinion that matters unless you agree to his thoughts.

He was the worst teacher I ever had at SCCC. If you needed help, he was degrating & disrespectful. Bad attitude with struggling students. Horrible teacher, would never recommend him. He gets an F as a teacher.
