The class was pretty easy. Your grade is based off group work mainly. You must read your text book or you wont pass. You take the test before she lectures on the unit which makes no sense. She is a TERRIBLE professor though. She is super rude and screams at students. I felt so uncomfortable every class.

Go to class every day because you get participation points. You work with your table mates for the semester so sit with some fun people who can work. One paper and presentation for the class but it was easy. She grades nicely. I failed all the quizzes because I didn't read the book so make sure ya read the textbook

I was scared to take this class due to me not knowing what to expect but I ended up loving it. I loved how prof makey set up this course. class was fun! You have a group you work/sit with all semester so it's a plus if you like them! There was never any hw. Professor herself could be rude but its not hard to stay on her good side! easy grader too

Meh, it was an OK class. My group mates are awesome, but the teacher makes you feel, I dunno, stupid? when you ask her questions. I wouldn't take her class again.

Literally the worst professor I have ever had. She makes you feel stupid when you ask an honest question, does not lecture the quizzes, and treats her students like you're in the third grade. each person is assigned a role and if you walk in even a second after the class is supposed to start you will be marked late. would never take again.

She presents interesting units in the class, but she starts off each unit with a test. In other words, she does not teach before the test. You have to read the text book, get tested on it, then she teaches you the unit. It can be a very harmful method if you are not good at teaching yourself new concepts.

This class is group based, but it's not bad at all. You don't collaborate on any projects, it's mostly for discussion. STUDY FOR THE QUIZZES. They are the only hard things about this class, other than that, it's smooth sailing. It's a fun and interactive class, but be sure you sit next to people you would want in your group all semester. No final!!

I loved this class! Makey has a very unique style of teaching!She does many interesting games&activities. Everything is based on group work so make sure you get responsible people! The tests and quizzes are a bit challenging so you have to make sure to study as best as you can. If you set your mind to it you can definitely pass with an A.

Overall this class was pretty easy! For the tests she lets you use a note card, as long as you put the vocab terms from the chapters you should be fine. She is not very helpful and doesn't directly answer your questions. Overall I would take her class again.

Professor Makey doesn't like to lecture. You are put into teams to do group activities. You take 6 individual and team quizzes. The midterm and final are group essays. There is also a required research presentation. Overall, her class was very interesting. I learned a lot! Take her if you are willing to put in the time to study.

I absolutely love this class. I love her teaching style and my group is amazing. You actually talk about things that matter and she hardly does lectures. She is really chill as long as you do the group stuff and participate. Make sure you choose awesome people in your group. There is attendance taken but by the group so make sure you make friends.

Attendance is mandatory. Tests are super hard bc it's not her tests. It's the website's test. She doesn't curve the tests scores. Hw & quizzes are online along with maps that you have to do for extra points (but don't trust the system bc it doesn't go through into her email). Not much extra credit & It's hard to ask her for help (bad attitude).

Took the 100 level class as a fourth year student, so I felt like I was being taught like a kid fresh out of high school. You pretty much do everything in groups, which was rough for me because my group was not the greatest. A lot of quizzes which really add up if you skip out on the reading, I'd say skip this teacher and take a different class

Personally I did not care for the class material itself, but Makey is an awesome teacher! Very passionate about what she's teaching and always is enthusiastic no matter what time of day it is. My class was in the afternoon lull, but she made the most of it!

This class was very interesting. Tests were hard because it was mostly text book material. I got Bs & Cs on the tests but just do all hw and extra credit and you'll end up with an A in the class like I did. Drawing maps was a little tedious but fun. She takes attendance & HATES people who talk/text in class
