Leonard was an amazing professor! I did some acting in high school, so I decided to take this class my first semester at UNI. I enjoyed every minute of this class, and I am so glad I chose to take it. From what I have heard, he is also the best and the least hard professor to take for Theatrical Arts & Society. You will not regret having him!

I loved this class even though I took it as a liberal arts core class. We got to tour the theaters at UNI, had a Halloween dress up day, and got to go to three shows at UNI. Curtis is hilarious and makes lectures very fun. His projects, papers, and tests are all graded very easily. Take him before he retires!

Grades easy on group projects, grades hard on essays. Tests are hard barely got a C on them. You really have to study for the test he gives. Overall nice guy, can by cranky sometimes. Make sure you go class because he only allows 3 absences

Easy quizzes, but a lot of lectures are quizzed over so you can't skip.

His lectures are really boring. He gets off-topic easily. If you come to class and do the work then he will like you. He gets moody close to theater productions he is working on.

He was a good teacher and all of the students kinda of treat him like a friend/ a Joke. We always call him Leonard in a very sarcastic way. I got on his good side by being Outspoken. There is a lot of reading required, but if you do about half of it you're good. Never dreaded class, and he's easy to manipulate out of assignments.

Easy class, goofy but funny professor. Must go to 4 required plays, 2 easy tests. Does take attendance every day. Many opportunities for points. Highly recommend this class.

I thought Leonard was a great professor. Just get on his good side which isn't hard. He grades easy and doesn't pull any trick questions on his quizzes or tests. He makes class fun, even during lectures. As a freshman, he was my favorite professor in my first semester.

He's not too bad, but I don't think I'd do very well in this class if I didn't know quite a bit about theatre already. From what I've heard his TAS class is the hardest, and others are way easier. So I'd suggest taking it with another professor.

Leonard is a very dull professor. He hardly ever cancels class, even when he's not there. Insteead, he'll play a movie and pass out homework questions for the movies. There's also more required readings, such as plays, that other classes don't have to read. The only good thing is the that there are only five quizzes and are only five questions.

this CLASS is really not that bad. But do yourself a favor and freaking get a different prof. This one is terrible and will make you dread something that you may have a slight interest in as you read this. DONT LET HIM KILL YOUR SPIRIT TOO. you still have a choice

Not a very good professor, and will screw you over if he can because he picks favorites. It was an easy class because I had to work hard because he didnt like me.

Leonard explains things well but gives you plenty of in class time to work things out on your own. He is very helpful and will do whatever he can to work things out. Note: I hope the person who left UNI realised that being a theatre major is hard and Fundies (now C&P) is a weed out class. The time commitment is not unreasonable, its realistic.

I love his teaching method. He was way more helpful than he really is required to be. One day I had a question and he spent 20 minutes after class making sure I understood. Works at a slow pace so everyone follows. I like him.

The WORST class I've EVER taken, I left UNI b/c of Leonard, I was a theatre major and still didn't get any kindness from the man. the class was easy but seeing the bad plays and having to donate 4 or more hours every night of the semester to run crews in order to pass the class was horrible.

Theater, Arts, and Society was a terrible class with him. If you are a theater major, he will love you, but if not prepare to be screwed. Terribly boring and you are required to see 2-3 bad plays. Take visual perceptions instead!!!
