thick accent takes getting used to book used very very rarely makes up own homework problems and practice problems which make up tests so study them makes indirect communist statements like to kill raydicals or deestroy negative signs fairly easy though if you understand the problems in class/hmwk problems

Comment:

Never took calculus before and still managed to get a B. His class seems easier than other calc classes as he did not assign a lot of homework and does not check attendance. However, he dings people off on quizzes for little mistakes and may be hard to understand. Do not buy the textbook for it is rarely used.

Lev is very dry and boring and you won't be able to understand him unless you are extremely familiar with Russian. He is picky about grading with hw and quizes. He makes things seem much more difficult than they already are. If I wasn't familiar with calc before his class I would have failed. Avoid him.

I thot that his class was very easy.I thought Calc II would be even harder than CalcI but this professor made it easy to learn. Uses several examples in class to do the hw. he sometimes gives you the same problem he did in the class to do as homework.He basically gave you what was on the final.Quiz problems were almost the same as the hw problems.

Worst math professor at LMU. Period. Avoid him at all costs. You will learn nothing from his class. Moreover, if he has taught something in a convoluted or even incorrect manner, he will mark you down on tests for simplifying your solutions (or, in the latter case, providing actual solutions to problems). We can only hope he retires shortly.

EASY! He gives tons of examples and his tests are basically questions he either went over, are from your HW, or are very similar to the HW. If you understand math and don't really want to pay much attention just go to class, copy his examples on the board and you'll be straight. :)

This is a horrible pre-cal teacher. Although he does try he is unable to cleary teach in a way that the class can understand. He also doesn't show much interest in the education of his students and grades on a very strict rubic! If you dont like math or dont understand pre-cal....I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS CLASS...

He is the type of teacher that gives tons of examples and explains everything step by step...if you fail or dont understand its b/c ur a retard since he explains things very well and his quizes & tests problems come right out of the HW and notes...great professor :) I recommend him to anyone anyday
