Professor Nugent is an unbelievable kind and helpful professor. She allows her students to enjoy writing freely and discuss ideas . I enjoyed her class because it was one of the few classes where you can befriend everyone because of group discussions and I enjoyed writing even though I am someone that used to hate it.

I really enjoyed being in her class. She is an easy going teacher and is understanding about certain things. She doesn't respond to emails quickly, but if you need her help she will give you what you need. And the required book is only $27. And you write about what you want for essays. There are only 8, then you prepare for the mastery exam after.

Professor Nugent is an amazing English professor. I have never loved writing, but after taking her class... I LOVE it so much! lol. A whole new door opened up for me with writing essays. There are essays due every week and journals so I recommend being a part timer if you believe you would not be able to handle it all bc its a ton of writing!

Such a sweet teacher! It's pretty easy to pass her class if you attend all classes and turn everything on time. She lets you rewrite essays, some group work here and there, and actually teaches you how to write. I highly recommend her if you need to take 079!

Professor Nugent is very helpful and nice towards all her students. I can honestly say she is one of my favorite English teachers. I took her class during Spring 2012 in the morning from 7-9:30 and she lets students out by 9:05. I recommend taking her class!

Professor Nugent is an awesome english teacher. Her class was fun, loved when she read poetry and short stories because she really helps you understand the deeper meaning. And if anyone is like the way i used to be always getting (dead word) writters block or is simply unsure of your writting skills i would recommend her eng 79 course it helps.

Nugent is an excellent teacher! Her expectations are high and does assign a good amount of writing assignments. However, she gives students more than enough time to complete them and excepts late work. As long as you have good attendance and turn in all the work, the class is an easy A!

She goes over every aspect of the writing process so that you leave the class knowing what you are doing. She does have you write a lot of papers but her grading is very fair. Be prepared to do the readings and group work which was not my favorite because usually there was only one person out of the group that did the reading homework.
