Prof Sacks' class is not hard. She challenges you as a writer but it generally very understanding when it comes to grading. She is always available for feedback. Also, reading is necessary but all in all there is not too much homework. Only three big papers and one final presentation. You do not have to attend lecture all the time to do well.

Comment:

Really sweet and nice lady. As long as you show up to class, participate, and get all of your work done, it's an easy A. She isn't a tough grader and she has a lot of office hours. The one thing she hates is when students use their phone in class or get distracted, so as long as you don't use your phone then you will be fine. Definitely recommend!

Professor Sacks is very sweet and a kind of easy grader, but her class is painfully boring. She will never cancel and don't plan on ever getting out early. Lots of pointless in class assignments that fill up time. She is also kind of unclear when it comes to explaining assignments.

I loved this Professor!! She is such a kind, gentle nice women. The class can get boring but she is a great teacher and gives good feedback. She is also always reminding students about her office hours and really cares that her students do well! Loved her! take her if you can

She is one of the nicest and most helpful English professors you will ever have. Show her that you care about her class and it's an easy A. She provides plenty of extra time outside of class to help improve students. Would definitely take her again!!!

Sacks is a tough grader, I had to really revise and re-revise my papers if I wanted to get an A on a paper. I ended up with an A in the class without even really reading any of the books though. I would consider it an easy class. (don't buy the textbook its a waste of money we barely touched it)

Comment:

Professor Sacks is very passionate about teaching. Classes are a bit boring but she tries to make it fun and engaging. All you are assigned is to read from the textbooks and there are class discussions. Tbh I never really read, just skimmed. There are no tests or quizzes, just 3 four page essays which weren't hard to write. Easy class to take.

She is a sweet lady that cares about her class. Her lectures can get boring but she likes when students participate. She is very understanding when it comes to homework or papers. She is very fair with her grading so if you at least try you will get an A! She was very helpful, take her!

Comment:

Prof. Sacks is a very nice and sweet lady. Her lectures can get boring or dry, but she tries her hardest to make them entertaining, and fun. She gives great feedback, I was nervous about college level writing, and she helped me progress my writing. I left the class feeling like a better stupid. Overall she's helpful, and easy. It's a win-win.

Really nice woman, she's so helpful too. She grades according to how much work you put into an assignment. Rarely gives out A's but as long as you try you can easily get a B. She's also very lenient and understanding if you just approach her.

Comment:

She is the cutest, sweetest woman and the most helpful professor. She grades extremely fair and gives you extra credit opportunities for every quiz. Make sure you read (not spark note) the books because she asks specific questions on the weekly quizzes. I strongly recommend for all English Majors.
