When he is explaining the texts, he is directly explaining them with the essay questions in mind. He is good at outlining good quotations to use as well. Do the readings because he like class participation. He gives good feedback on essays and he chose very interesting readings. He is very sweet and it's obvious he loves English literature!

Honestly, 18th-century literature sucks. It's incomprehensible at times. I hated this course. He didn't mark the essays too harshly, but the final exam will absolutely murder me. There is a lot of class participation, so if you don't read the works, you're screwed. The problem is, most of the works are TERRIBLE. I do not recommend this class at all

LoVerso is an awesome prof. He knows his stuff. If you're on the ball you may even catch one of his jokes. He is always there to help you improve, you just have to go and see him.

LoVerso was my all-time favourite prof at Concordia. Great dry sense of humour. Excellent lecturer with a clear grasp of the material. Always willing to help improve if you go and see him and show your interest.
