One of the best teachers I've ever had. The workload was tough but manageable. Very smart lady, I learned a lot in the class. She's also hilarious, I looked forward to attending her classes

Comment:

Tough class for sure-she expects a lot. Participation credits are important. Research paper rules are tedious but she'll be there if you need help. Very easy to drift off during class. Very quiet woman but very sweet.

She's no push-over. She'll make you work, but she's always there to help you along the way. She posted all her ppts on moodle, so you can really focus on what she is saying, which is really great because she is one smart lady.

Comment:

I had Sister for History of Women in East and West which is a survey of women in Great Britain, China, and Japan. She is a good teacher and I learned quite a bit. You have to do your work, though, because if you don't keep up on your reading, you'll be lost! Make sure you cite your papers properly. She is strict about that.

Comment:

She was a very weird teacher where she taught the class basically just the way she wanted it. The way she taught was very complicated and useless. I learned almost the same info in another basic history class and I got and A. And in this class she gave me a C- which was so unfair based on the fact she lost most of my participation points.

Had for Hunger, okay teacher. Some days I liked her, some I didn't. We have to build up 15 participation points through out the class. She keeps poor track of how many points you have, she lost a lot of mine and other students points. These points go to your final grade. Tests were hard but the class was a real eye opener. Uses Moodle, notes online

Not sure if she is still teaching, but I had nearly a 4.0 overall GPA yet somehow received a C in Perspectives on Peace. The participation policy revolves on honesty (which most people are not). The message board posting was ridiculous, she had favorites, and I did not learn anything more than if I read on my own. Save your time, money, and GPA!

Honestly, she knows what shes talking about and knows how to teach it if youre willing to pay attention. If youre looking to sleep through class and pull an A its not gonna happen but overall its not that hard. Shes improved over the years from what past ratings say. Shes been posting the notes and "kinda reviews"

Sr. is overflowing with historical knowledge--most of which is interesting. Her tests are tough in the sense that she does not review for them or give a study sheet. You have to know ALL of the notes from the powerpoint. Then you should be fine.

sister is great, all u have to do, is write down whatever she says, and go by that...that's what is usually in the test...if u study like u should, there's not gonna be a problem...she is very proper and likes stuff done right, don't ever give her a fake statistic cuz she knows!!!!

Ugh. I really disliked her. Felt she was VERY judgemental a lot and always put herself above others. I respect that she's an activist but she feels that if you don't side with her, then you are wrong. Does not respect opinions unless you agree with her.

This is an awesome teacher. She is so knowledgable. This class will really make you stop and think about the state of our world. It may take a few extra moments of work but it will be worth every minute.

I wouldn't suggest taking her unless you don't mind working harder than you thought. I found her "moody" at times, unhelpful on occasion, and perhaps a bit **** against men...just my opinions.
