You do not need a textbook because she usually does the work for you. She gives you packets for the class and you rarely have to take notes because she already took the notes for you in the packet.

I would never recommend anyone to take a course she's teaching. Participation is very important to her, however if your answer isn't correct she facepalms and embarrasses the student who just participated. When no one participate she gets offended for some reason. She has tenure so she is allowed to be rude to students without fear of repercussion

She's extremely loud. I'm a transfer student, so I've taken several history classes in my other college and I can say she is the worst history prof I've had so far. She's picky when grading and very particular. Participation is a big part of your grade, but if you answer something wrong she might face-palm herself. I'll never take her again.

Shes really passionate and really knows her stuff. Its impossible to fall asleep in her class and I find her class goes by pretty quick. Definitely take her if you can

DR. MULLANEY IS ABSOUTLEY AMAZING TEACHER- AMAZING AT WHAT SHE DOES AND EDUCATING IS CLEARLY HER PASSION. YES SHE IS A HARD GRADER AND YOU HAVE TO PUT IN WORK IN THE CLASS ROOM AS WELL AS AT HOME. YOU MUST LISTEN, PARTICIPATE IN CLASS. BUT SHE GIVES YOU ALL THE TOOLS YOU NEED TO SUCCEED IN HER CLASS. HER TESTS ARE FAIR. SHE IS A BEAUTIFUL PERSON.

LOUD. One word to describe Dr. Mullaney. She references the syllabus up until you take the final exam, so dont lose it. Participation matters, like your grade depends on it, but when you try she will shoot down your answers because they aren't good enough. Her lecture is a powerpoint, with some discussion. Would NOT take again.

Really loves her subject matter, and is very entertaining. Does expect you to know the basic things, but is very willing to answer and questions and help clarify any questions you have . Does request that you read the textbook can get away with not reading it. One of my Favorite professors, she is really great.

Mullaney is a great person who knows her stuff. You have to be willing to participate, not only is it apart of your grade but it is how you learn. Definitely go to the writing center before you hand in papers to her and even ask for advice. She is a PowerPointlecture professor so definitely have paper and pen ready. Good luck :)

For the intellectually student , she can't be beat. You'll come out of Western Civ I and II with a solid grasp of Western History from the Paleolithic Age through World War II. I aced each class, and it was part of the foundation for future academic success after I transferred to a higher caliber University and got accepted to Law School.

I took every course of Dr. Mullaney's that I could in my four years at Caldwell. She is extremely intelligent and loves to teach history. I have learned SO much from her. If you want to learn, take her. You will not regret it. If you don't like to challenge yourself, don't waste anyone's time by taking her. She is fabulous!

I took this course online and Professor Mullaney was a pleasure to exchange emails with. It was clear that she was passionate about the work and she did not give a hard time about meeting deadlines. . At first I thought Dr. Mullaney was absolutely insane. She screams when we're only in a tiny classroom. And yes, she is a VERY hard grader. But by the end of the course I came to appreciate her because I actually learned in her class. It takes a while for you to figure out how to do well in her class so don't quit trying. She is a very smart woman.
