Comment:

Dr. Campbell presided over one of the most negative educational experiences I have ever had. Every idea I proposed to him he did everything in his power to challenge and refute. He was not encouraging in the least. I could not wait to be done with him. He is the reason I did not continue at Crane to pursue a Masters there.

Comment:

Dr. Campbell is a great professor. He DOES challenge your thinking... and if you think that's an issue as an undergraduate who has never taught in a public school before, then you must not understand the point of the class. Pay attention to what he has to say, don't hesitate to ask questions and offer your thoughts and you'll do well!

Dr. Campbell is a very difficult teacher, it is his way or the highway. He will challenge all of your teaching philosophies and do everything he can do disprove them. This is helpful since he challenges you to work harder, but it is also very discouraging at times. He is also extremely unclear in what he wants in projects.

Dr. Campbell does know what he's talking about and can back up his answers with research and documents. However, he also requires that you think and believe as he does. Any thoughts outside of his beliefs of teaching are dismissed. He refuses to help students that he dislikes, and he makes it very clear which students he likes and doesn't like.

Dr. Campbell - You've always pushed us to go beyond, to question, to research more than what we are told. With your help, I went to Kentucky to present research on the history of Music Ed - Thanks for giving me that opportunity. :)
