Professor Scatterday is the WORST teacher that I have EVER had. He thinks he knows everything, but that is just not true. Last week, he called me out in rehearsal and said I was playing something wrong. Who does he think he is? I go to the eastman school of music, so I'm perfect. Also, he is a daddy ��

One of the best professors at Eastman. He might get on your case every now and then but usually it's for a good reason. He truly wants you to succede.

Dr. Scatterday has the cleanest and clearest conducting technique I've ever seen with the possible exception of his collegue Brad Lubman. That being said, how does intense and robotic accuracy prepare us for orchestral careers where conductors are notoriously vague? or military bands where conductors are not well trained?

Scatterday does have some good qualities, I will not deny that. I've only seen him make 2 or 3 conducting mistakes EVER. BUT, he could stop talking less and do more when it comes to rehearsal technique.
