Professor McKinney is very knowledgeable and has a genuine concern for the student's education. He states subject matter clearly and when it is not, he works at making it clear. I really enjoyed using the PSpice program to get a better understanding of the circuits and their responses.

Like the other raters, I agree that the classes Dr. McKinney teaches are tough, but he will make sure that he does his best to help his students understand the material. Almost always available for help, and has a wide array of knowledge. He WILL NOT serve an A in the class to you on a silver platter. You will work for it as you should.

Dr. McKinney is an outstanding professor, he really knows how to engage the students and makes complicated problems simple. I was nervous about this class before I took it, but he made the material easy to understand and was very fair with his grading. Awesome professor!

The material is not easy and McKinney won't spoon-feed. He makes you think and pushes you to try figure this stuff out. If you're looking for easy course material and easy professors, change your major. If you want a professor who knows his stuff and will bend-over backward to help you learn (not give you answers), you will not be disappointed.

McKinney is a very good teacher, relays topics well and is very available to help outside of class. He knows his stuff. He doesn't get cadet life though and when he try's to get personal he really shows deep down he will always be a true cock. Still overall very good elec teacher, not a life mentor.

He will ALWAYS take time to answer your questions. I learned a TON in this class because he took the time to review and clear things up from ELEC I. Class is thorough so you will need to crack the book. If he talks about something there is a chance it will be on a test. Do your homework and dont be afraid to ask for clarification and you will rock.

A++++. some people confuse "prick" with "knowing your stuff and being proud of hard work ". negative feedback is from cheaters who were proven without a doubt. these guys are a disgrace to the engineering profession. there is too much public trust in this profession for us to get our degrees without working through the sweat/tears

Comment:

Theanswers to homework and test were extremely beneficial come time for the final. Take good notes and you'll do fine. Glad to answer questions, very helpful. Tests follow class notes. Reviews homework questions the next day. Tests are 'thorough' but managable.
