I found her to be most helpful and engaging once I took the initiative to reach out. If you're looking for a passive experience, this is probably the wrong professor for you. However, if you are willing to work hard and to seek counsel, she is excellent.

I spent at least 15 hours on this class each week (some weeks were over 20hrs) for an entire semester. If you don't get a good grade on the first test, good luck trying to make it up the rest of the semester. No extra credit. No great help from the teacher who seems to assume everyone is a finance major.

Very nice lady. She had a very hard time returning assignments in a timely manner. Going into the final, we had not had a thing graded in almost 1.5 months. She told us that she was not their to teach us, but to answer questions. She is a pro at excel, but not at helping others to get better. She just does not understand how it all works.

Dr. Wyeth is an excellent professor. I took her undergraduate and graduate finance courses and would CHOOSE to take her again, if provided the opportunity. The material is challenging but she is always willing to help her students. If you do the assignments (timely) and ask questions if you do not understand, you will do fine.

DON'T TAKE DR. WYETH FOR FINANCE unless you're already an expert! The format of the class is not conducive to learning & she did not incorporate ANY feedback to improve this aspect. She's kind & very knowledgeable on the topic, but expects to lecture while you do class work (um?!), then expects you to learn on your own from the book wno lecture.

She is extremely intelligent. She expects you to be as well. Always willing to help outside of class. I really enjoyed her class and her enthusiasm for the subject matter.

I have taken 3 classes with her, both grad and undergrad. She is very helpful but the material can be tough. She is very intelegent. She expects you to be prepared for class. Her classes aren't easy, but they are doable.

I took Professor Wyeth for graduate finance. This is an incredibly hard class so I can understand why many students may say that they had a negative experience. However it is not because of Professor Wyeth. She will help in any way possible. Whenever I asked her a question she would take so much time and thought into responding to me.

Dr. Wyeth is a very good professor. Do not go into her class without giving her 100%. You must stay on top of the reading and do the homework. If you don't, you could get lost if you don't work in today's business world. Please don't believe these postings. The students probably did just enough to get by and expected an A.

Not sure how she is still teaching. At least 25% of the class dropped after the first exam--the average was a 60. Didn't offer extra credit or a curve and was rude when asked. I'm an A-student and would avoid Dr. Wyeth at all costs (I had to drop).

Dr. Weyth is a very nice person and quite intelligent; however she is not a good teacher. I received an B in her class through no help from her. The textbook is terrible. She assumes you understand the material before coming to class. She doesn't answer questions directly, she answers what she thinks you asked. CSU needs to reevaluate tenured profs

I have to defend Dr. Wyeth. First of all, she is not that hard. Second of all, how can you expect to learn anything in her class when you never ask questions? She always called for questions and hardly anybody had any. True, sometimes the subject matter can be a little dry but dont call her a bad teacher because you dont apply yourself.

Dr.Wyeth is hands down the worst professor I have ever had. She is very very rude to her students. She can't teach period. She relies on Professor Rollins to do all her work. She is lazy and rude! Dr. Mela Wyeth was a good professor. Her class was a challenge, though through decent study and effort you should be able to pass. She is fair, but in my case this was a graduate level course, so difficulty is expected. Immaturity or laziness will result in an F - bet on it.
