Comment:

Not sure why you are reading a review on her because she is retiring this year. I hated this class, it was extremely boring and time consuming. However, I did learn some useful skills like how to build a resume and to find an internship. Other than that, the class sucked. Easy A though.

Comment:

Prof. Alexander is good at what she does but kind of in her own way. She speaks to the class and individuals as if we are just learning English. She is a tough grader and will take off points if you staple the wrong side of a paper. Tests weren't too bad. Homework makes it seem like your in an English class because its all 3rd grade knowledge.

Honestly, I'm sure she's just fine if you are still learning how to write (pre ENG104), but since 249 is basked into all business majors even if you passed another writing course req you still have to take it, so for me, it is the most redundant class I have ever taken. I'm not trying too hard since I have three 400 level classes to worry about.

I took this course online and thought that it was very interesting and I learned a lot! Professor Alexander is very kind and always helpful. She responds to emails quickly and truly cares about her students' success.

Dr. Alexander is the best. She is always open for help, offers extra credit, gives you material that is actually useful for the exams. She drops your lowest exam because she is reasonable and understands the stress students are under. There is a group presentation, but she uses multiple weeks to help students prepare for them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

A lot of in class points. If you skip class you have the chance of missing a lot. I was potentially going to get a low grade in the class until the last week she gives like 90-100 points extra credit which was nice.

She is the only professor I've had that can be both specific and incredibly vague at the same time. Almost all work is done outside the classroom with some work days in class. There are a lot of tests, but the lowest gets dropped at the end of the term. Reading is a must.

Took her online. Very easy except for the dumb mindtap grammar assignments. They are very time consuming and pointless. But definitely recommend taking this class over Dr. Chalupa. She actually help you to under stand what is expected in the business world.

Dr. Alexander over explains a lot, make sure that you get clarification before submitting anything. Attendance is mandatory. She gives lots of busy work, which is annoying but it's an easy A. The tests are the main part, I suggest reading the book before taking them. You'll be annoyed but I recommend you take her.

She is very confusing and does not do well at explaining material. She treats you like a little kid. Does not answer questions effectively and often times leaves you more confused than you were. 0/10 do not take this professor.

She is literally the nicest professor that I have ever had. She wants everyone to succeed and drops two tests at the end of the semester. She goes out of her way to help everyone in the class succeed. Would definitely take this class again.

Her TA does everything. If you have a question, don't ask her just as the TA. Other then that her tests are crazy easy and everything you do in there is very elementary. Its a very easy A if you show up to class, do the assignments, and take the tests. She drops one test score at the end of the semester so taking the "final" is not necessary.

One of the easiest classes I have ever taken (can't believe its college level). You should get out of class at least 30 min early almost every day. She never teaches anything its all from the book and easy to understand. If you have any questions, its easy to just work with your group. You may need to review a bit before tests but not much.

Comment:

She really does care about what you get in class as a grade and out of class as knowledge. Things are difficult but if you pay attention you'll do fine. I never studied for a test and my lowest grade was an 88%. Group work sucks though cause you can't control what others do and your grade reflects their work.
