4 Assignments and 2 Exams, which for an online class isn't too bad except if you do poorly of course you have nothing else to fall back on. Tough grader of the 4 assignments, very vague on description so its hard to know exactly what is expected of you. Overall not such a great class

Comment:

There are two exams (150pts) and four short writing assignments (100pts) for a total of 250pts. NO EXTRA CREDIT. This class is somewhat difficult. You will have to work a little harder than usual for an online class. The assignments seem easy at first but the topics are so simple it's hard to fulfill the word requirement.

Took thos class online. Class was worth just 200 points, 140 of which came from the 2 tests and the rest came from the 5 hw assignments. The Hw assigments weren't that bad but he graded really hard. Tests were hard. I feel like there is no way you can pass the tests without using the book and powerpoints.

Comment:

His class work is not that much however every assignments count especially when its come to grading grammars as well. He will definitely let you know if your writing is not good enough. I'm not really good in writing and grammars so i understand why. Make sure you always read and stay on top of it. Articles from 5-8 pages/chapters per assignments.

Comment:

I did not like him as a professor. He would say that a test is available from 6am to 11pm but did not end up posting it until hours after 6am. He's very picky with grading assignments, if you use a word he doesn't like, he knocks down points. Tests are long and hardly comes from lecture powerpoints. If you want an A, better work hard for it.

Not the best teacher for this subject. If you're not good in math then I would not recommend you to take him. I had a hard time learning it with his teaching skills. It felt like he was no help also he doesn't seem like he comes from a background of biostatistics.

Dr. Waite is not a hard professor. I'm taking both of his classes online, his work assignments is not that hard either. You just need to keep up every weeks with assign chapters and video. every assignment always 200 words which is not even alot. I just wish he could have respond back asap. Occasionally he doesn't respond back as far as I know.

I went to tutoring as much as I could and there were times I felt confident going into the test and totally bombed. Find people in the class that understand the material and study with them. He can be a little confusing but he does seem reasonable with assignments. Little to no hw and grade depended on exam scores. "From that standpoint."

The thesis class was rough. Two deadlines very close to each other. High quality work expected with little direction given. Was unavailable by office hours and phone and was in a bad mood because of family issues. Funny guy, brilliant, but difficult to please. Changes his mind about your paper every time he reads it. Rough class. Start praying.

He is easy in other classes that I've taken with him, like Ph145&Ph143 but he for sure cannot teach PH92. Ph92 has to do with some calculations & he is not great at teaching math.If you're not good at math then don't take him because hes very sloppy at teaching math. AND when he makes a mistake on the problem he blames the book

Took him Sp 13' He's a great teacher, he knows his stuff. Would get upset at the class sometimes and would kick the whole class out but reasonable. When in a good mood test are open book! Fair grader! He let us Take final Home! only # exams! Had and A in class ended up with a high B!

he is so unorganized and lazy, he never replies to emails, doesnt really teach, just reads everything off a powerpoint that he didnt even make, doesnt want to answer questions and is rude. he requires you to make an appointment for office hours but never is "Available" the only good thing is that theres not a lot of hw, and test are kinda easy.

Fairly easy class however, you MUST read text before you go to class. I got an A on every test except the one I did not read the chapter before. Grade is based on 3 tests 1 final and 4-5 homework assignments which you are given full credit as long as you do them.

He has passion for the subject from that standpoint, but unfortunately isn't very good at explaining things from that standpoint. Thankfully the tests are easy and he tells you what you need to study, but if you're looking for clarity, this is not your guy from that standpoint. ("standpoint" is his favorite word)

3 exams, small assignments here and there. Professor is very into this subject & can be kinda funny at times. Attendance not mandatory, need to buy book, exams are kinda hard so study study (there book and powerpoint based) He doesnt play favorites so if you try to brownnose it'll be an epic fail.Overall,its an OK class as long as you put in effor

Get used to hearing "From that stand point" being heard every other sentence. He has perks and some downers. No mandatory attendance, posts notes on BB, and kind of a funny guy. His test aren't hard-he gives u formulas on the tests. However if you aren't math oriented, you need someone to explain it for you cause he does'nt teach well at all!

Great class and he knows his stuff. He is very clear on what he wants. If you attend class and do what he says the class is easy. Doesn't mess around and gets to the point. My kind of professor.

Says "from that stand point" a lot! His class is easy but you must attend class, take notes and practice problems (important!). Assigns about 5 homework assignments that aren't graded, but tests are 1/3 multiple choice and 2/3 FILL IN. Can be an easy or hard class depending on how much YOU put into it.

Here's the scoop on Waite.He doesn't take roll.He does assign hw unannounced & usually when no 1 shows up to class.U only can show up to his office hours.He's not helpful in helping U get a better grade in class.He cussed,Very unorganized.Makes mistakes on tests. Goes off subject.MUST Have Documentation for missing test/HW. Seems angry at the world
