Amazing prof, tough class. Definitely one of the hardest classes I've taken, but I learned a lot and grades weren't bad. Reading the book actually helped, for maybe the first time ever. If it were taught by anyone other than Dr Wittmann, I probably would have failed. He's great at explaining really difficult concepts

Wittmann is one of the best professors in the department. He genuinely cares about how students do, and allows your grades to reflect that. Offers test corrections every time. Always willing to face his own mistakes and is often around to sit down and talk through harder concepts. Adds in fun facts and real world applications, really great guy.

Wittman is an AMAZING professor. He cares about the people who are in his class. He is dedicated to your learning. His homeworks and lectures are always worth attending/doing. If you ever have any troubles he is extremely willing to work with you. He makes lectures fun and enjoyable. He is a great teacher and I have learned so much from this man.

He is an amazing professor!!! I enjoyed the two classes I took with him. I honestly learned so much about the course work and other interesting facts in physics history and other real world things. ANYONE WHO SAYS HE IS BAD IS DUMB AND DOES NOT KNOW ANYTHING. Wittmann wants everyone to succeed and learn and he will make sure everyone does.

He is very dedicated and enthusiastic about the subject. He jokes around and tells stories and keeps the class interesting. Ask questions if you don't understand. The material may be abstract but it really isn't that difficult to understand, just do the homework and pay attention.

GREAT professor! He not only makes the material fun and interesting, but he loves what he does, and is always so excited about what he's teaching. The class can be very confusing at times, but if you ask questions and work with a group on the homework, you can get ALOT out of it. Going to this class is usually not a chore!

Good class! I honestly wish Prof. Wittmann taught some of my other classes! He actually makes me want to learn this stuff by telling some great stories of his and has some really insightful concepts about learning and life. When stuff doesn't make sense ASK QUESTIONS! He'll answer them and then you and the rest of the class won't be struggling!

Very dedicated teacher who thoroughly enjoys his craft. If you are lost, just ask and he will make sure you understand. This man is very open to constructive criticism of his course and is willing to listen to you, take advantage of that.

He's really nice, and I do think he cares about how his students learn. The class is the worst thing I've ever taken - it's extremely abstract and difficult and after the first 3 weeks almost unbearable. I attended all classes and labs and am still struggling. Be prepared to dedicate a lot of time to this class, and feel lost 99% of the time!

Nice Teacher. Horrible class. The class was easy as hell in the first couple of weeks. But then, it started getting harder. And now (although I attend ALL the class and went to all the Labs and took notes and did my homeworks) the class is so hard. More than half the students in the class have no idea what they are learning! seriously stupid class!

He is very clear and relates well to his students. very personal, very very dorky- but in a fun way. there is no text for this class, so its very liberal 'we write our own texts' the labs do seem to be very pointless though.

The man is as arrogant as they come. He claims to have a specialty in physics education, yet somehow manages to not connect with any of us. He never gets anything graded, and delightfully tells us so right before collecting our homework, which he never accepts late. Ambiguous expectations galore.

DONTBUYTEXT! The tests are HORRIBLE. You cannot prepare for them. I went to class, lab, went to the TA once a week, etc. I was a great student in this class and BARELY got a C, and I know that was only b'c of effort. I bombed all the (3) exams but I guess the rest of my grades evened it out?
