I've taken Dr. Woltermann for a few upper levels now. He's absolutely awesome! He's really nice and always offers to help outside class. He also makes connections between his class and other math that are mind-blowing. He has a deep understanding of and passion for math. Best professor in the department

Though he doesn't "teach" the lessons, his handouts can be helpful. Pretty clear on what he expects. If you go to him during his office hours he is great-very helpful. Make sure to do the work, and you will be fine. Challenging, but good. Also, he is possibly the NICEST man ever. Adorable.

Some days I just had no idea what he was even talking about. But he was always helpful and willing to explain things thoroughly if you visited him in his office, and his tests weren't too bad if you studied for them.

Way too smart. Can't explain things in more than one way. Can't bring understanding to math on a lower level. No matter how often I went for help, I left even more confused. I eventually gave up and forged on into mathland all by myself.
