Dr. Wiley was one of the best English professors I have ever had. He taught crime writing at UNF, which I think was this semester only, but I was very interested in our subject matter and it was very easy to participate and remain engaged. I had the flu along with a couple family emergencies and he was very understanding and helped me keep up.

I did not particularly love the course content, but I would still gladly recommend Dr. Wiley. He is a very good man, and he is obviously passionate about what he does. There was a reading quiz each class, a presentation, and two papers. Dr. Wiley is accessible outside of class, and he is always happy to help.

Wiley has been the best professor at UNF so far! He is extremely knowledge about the subject matter and how to break it down for students. Reading the works is really important (daily short quizzes) but the work is worth it! I learned so much from him and would love to take another class by him! Grade was based on quizzes and two essays.

Professor Wiley is one of the best professors I have ever had. He cares about your education. He is also so very understanding. I lived out of county so I showed up late more often than not. He did not mind a bit and would make sure I had the days papers. He also gave extra days for midterm and final essays. Just be sure to do the readings.

I took 2 of Dr. Wiley's classes -Later British Lit & English Romanticism. He was knowledgeable, friendly & a fair grader. He made me interested in pieces of literature that I previously ignored. I got a B- in one & a C in the other, only because I came in late every day & missed a few classes. Really strict on attendance. Also, his books are great!

One of the best professors at UNF by far. Will teach you how to dissect a work line by line and show you new ways to interpret writing. This may sound boring, but he is a genius and makes it very interesting. Very kind individual and extremely helpful when it comes to writing papers--definitely meet with him to discuss your paper. Take him!

This man KNOWS HIS STUFF. I thought I could interpret lit with my eyes closed, but he showed us awesome new ways of looking at classic stuff. I've taken him for 2 classes and highly recommend him. You do have to do the readings, but he also lets you rewrite non-A papers. Not a huge workload and environment is great. Really funny.

Dr. Wiley truly cares about, and is well versed with British Romanticism. He knows the material well, but not once sounded condescending whe students didn't understand the topics at first. He knows that not all students, even at the 3000-level courses, will be experts at reading and interpreting poetry. He is considerate to all his students.

Professor Wiley is one of the best professors I've taken at UNF. This was my 2nd class with him. He's not easy; he expects a lot out of his students. He is really good at stimulating interest in the subject and fostering a critical thinking environment. Definitely a challenge but worth it if you like to learn.

He's your classic academic and one of the best English professors and scholars at UNF. However, he can go deeper into the subject but abstains way too often. You can tell he knows far more about the literature than what is currently being discussed.

Dr. Wiley did not disappoint! I must say, I had my misgivings upon seeing "Dubliners" on the list for a "British" Lit class, but I can now say he justified it beautifully! He knows his material with a passion. -And he's quite the silver fox! Yum!

Wonderful man. Discussion-based classes but they are thoughtful and well directed. You must do the readings but after all this is a literature class. You'll get a lot out of his class if you put a lot into it. Fair grader, gives students chances to rewrite non-'A' papers. Smart, caring, remarkably helpful prof. Taking again in the fall.
