She is a very tough teacher but if you go to class and do all of your work and she sees that you're trying, you'll be okay. She is willing to work with you if you really need the help.She is very intimidating at first but she's very nice once you get to know her better.

Dr. Kaplan is one of my favorite teachers here at Hofstra. This class is really really easy it is fun and informative. No tests, just a few papers and go to a school of communication event. Easy A if you go to class and write pretty good papers

Dr. Kaplan is amazing. She will kick your butt in this class though. She knows what she is talking about though. If you take 24 make sure to take her and not morrow. He will make 44 a pain in the butt to readjust to. Dr. Kaplan prepares you for 44 and although she is tough, she is super helpful. and for those of you who are taking her. "LOOK UP"

she has no idea what she's talking about. you think you do when you're in her class, then you learn that she really knows nothing and just makes things up as she goes a long. one of the worst teachers in the department.

Kaplan is an amazing professor for this course. It is far from an easy course and for the most part, you will find some difficulties but it not only prepares you for television production in itself, it is hand down the best prep for the proceeding course of RTVF 44. Those students who take 44 will greatly appreciate Kaplan's 24 without question.

Comment:

Kaplan is very helpful and knows her stuff when it comes to TV. She demands a high level of performance from students but if you love TV production then you'll appreciate that. Attendance is crucial but you'll want to show up for class. Worked in the field and is helpful in mentoring students. It's because of her class that I switched my major!

Kaplan was one of the worst professors at Hofstra. At times she tried to be friendly with the students, but seemed like she had alterior motives when she did. Backstabbing and tricky... Dont suggest taking a class with her.

I loved this prof! Some say that she'spompous but I think instead she is attempting to come across tough but when you walk out of that class you will know your stuff & that is what matters in the end! Besides the industry is full of tough supervisors who are aware of their own accomplishments.
