Very enthusiastic professor. She is clearly knowledgable and passionate. What I didn't like was that grades are made up of only 4 tests (includes the final) and 4 quizzes. Go to class, all of the test information comes from lecture and she doesn't post her slides.

So so sweet and funny and she really cares about her students and people in general and is a good role model. She is very good at helping students understanding the material and although she is busy she works to be accessible to her students. My only complaint it that her online quizzes were easy to cheat on and students cheated instead of learning

Dr. Karlin is hilarious and straight to the point. Shes not afraid to speak her mind and I respect her tremendously. Its important to attend class because majority of the test is over class material that she doesnt post online. Quizzes might seem hard at first but you get used to them. Lectures are fun because shes so funny

This is the 2nd class ive taken with Karlin and I love her, she makes notes easy to understand, shes very funny and tries to keep lectures interesting, ive never had any issues with her or her grading or teaching style. She does exams every couple weeks based 70% off lectured and 30% based off tbe textbook, so its important to go to class

She gives notes most of the class period and doesn't really waste time, she goes over things that aren't in the textbook so don't miss class if you can help it. Every 3 weeks or so there was a quiz and then a week or so after the quizzes we had a unit test. I personally really liked Karlin because she kept it interesting and cracked jokes

Professor Karlin is by far the best professor I have had at UNC. It's true, you really do have to study for her tests, however, the amount of information and knowledge that you receive from her lectures is not only interesting, but valuable. I have taken two of her classes thus far, she's amazing!

There are only 4 quizzes and 4 tests all semester; so beware that you need to do good in order to pass the class. The quizzes are on quizlet but the tests are tricky and she provides little help to her students. Good luck, you'll need it!

She does not communicate well with students and is not clear about grading. When you ask her questions, she responds with condescending responses and usually does not answer the question. Never had a teacher this poor. Worse teacher I have ever had in college (I'm finishing my fourth year now). Poor direction, poor grading, poor feedback.

Amazing. The best professor not only at the psychology department but also at UNCO. Cares so much about each and every student, also has a great wealth of knowledge, that she is passionate to share with the students. Also, has a very engaging presentation style. Take her courses!

Dr. Karlin is hands down one of the best professors I've had to this day. You can tell that she truly cares about the field of psychology and does her best to pass her wealth of knowledge on to her students. I have taken her for both 265 and 467 and while 467 was more difficult, it was not impossible to earn a good grade by putting in the effort.

Dr. Karlin is the best in the game, hands down. She loves her students and if you put your effort in, she will notice and do everything she can to help your success. She does such interesting research so if you are looking for a publication in your psychology future, she is the woman to talk to. Great professor and an even better person.

Karlin is an excellent professor; she knows the material thoroughly. Advice: DON'T let the presentation sneak up on you, work on it from the day you form groups. It makes a large portion of your grade. Quizzes and exams are from BOTH the lectures & the book. PP slides aren't online so must go to class. Questions? Ask & she'll help you understand.

She is brilliant- you take lots of notes but she always keeps class interesting. She is funny but also serious enough, her tests can be hard and require hours of studying but if you put in the hours, your grade will show. She is very credible and won't waste your time

Tests are tough and you have to read the book from cover to cover. Tons of notes for lecture so if you don't show up a lot you will not make it. There is a group project that is about 45 minutes long and participation matters during group presentations. Tests are multiple choice but you have to got to know the material to pass.

There are only 4 exams in her class, nothing else. I loved it, but it's very stressful, because you have little room for error. However she is hilarious, an excellent professor, and gives you all the info you need to pass. It does take hard work however, and her powerpoints aren't online, which forces you to go to class if you want to pass.
