Good professor in that she pushes you to think in ways that many have not before. However she is quite liberal and will speak against capitalism and religion, especially Christianity. Marxist sympathizer who will spend a lot of time explaining why liberalism is right, but will rarely stop long enough for another perspective to be presented.

Take another teacher if possible. This class involves nothing but xtreme critical thinking, and if no one speaks out, she will sit in silence til you do. this class if for people who love speaking up in class, love critiquing 50 pg articles daily, and she will piss you off if you are conservative at all. She is VERY liberal.

Dr. Erevelles was my diss chair. She caused me to think at depths I never dreamed imaginable. She demanding more of me than I ever thought possible. By the same token, she supported me in every way that she could to ensure that I would be successful. I believe she understands the true purpose of education.

Extremely hard class. Way too much reading. It is very hard to understand her and her grading is very subjective. If you have an opinion other than hers, don't state it. She plays favorites and i pray for anyone who is not on her list of favorites. STAY AWAY if you want to pass the class!!!

Hands down, the smartest person I've ever met. She is incredible challenging but fascinating. Her class should be required for every graduate student at UA.
