He is a Very nice guy, and seems understanding! He does not grade on quality, but only on style! He likes certain things a certain way and THAT THAT. His class is easy, which will make you feel like there is no need in going. BUT he does grade with a Bias, you miss class, sweats, not engaged, DONT expect a C or higher.

Ozzie is a great gender professor. He taught the male perspective of gender, which was very interesting. His classes aren't boring because he knows what he is talking about and there isn't much workload. I would highly recommend people to take him for a GENDER PROF! He's AMAZING AND I LOVED HIS CLASS! You learn a lot and he's super kind!

He is a horrible grader and cannot teach concepts. his biases on grading will screw you if you don't look like a genius. Show up in sweats and its over. Really, try talking to him about a grade and he will not give you the time of day. STAY AWAY!!! Unfortunately he is the only prof that teaches linguistics

this was a boring class, but ozzie taught it very well. i also had him for american lit and loved the class because he was so knowledgeable about the time period. he is a very fair grader and is my favorite prof for writing essays because he always returns them with lots of comments instead of just a plain grade

Ozzie is a great prof, but can be a little bias when it comes to grading. Overall class is easy, but it gets a little redundant. If you're a good writer, take him and he'll love you. Also, participate! Def. makes you look good. He doesnt make you do too much, but of what you do he has fairly high expectations.

Ozzie is a very intellectual man-- I enjoyed every bit of this class, but that could just be because I'm an intended English major. I liked the selections that we read, and Dr. Mayers is an interesting person, but if you're not English-inclined, I'd advise not to take the class...

First of all; "ozzie" is an ignorant mean person. He knows he is smarter than you are and uses that to boost his own ego. He has no problem telling you that you aren't smart to your face. The class was so boring - he is smart but oh my gosh I could never keep my attention. well ozzie, you're smarter than I am! i hope that helps your ego grow..

Ozzie was a very smart prof, but his presentation of materials was rather dry. Put people to sleep. There are only 3 papers for the class but they are VERY VERY unclear and he doesn't answer questions well. Daily journals are a pain in the notebook.
