Comment:

Terrible class. If you want to be graded solely on grammar you should take this course. It's extremely formulaic, but you have a quiz every single class that is part of your final grade. Terrible boring lectures and no readings. This is a class on how to write an essay in MLA. She does not teach anything but MLA. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Nice but you must be respectful. 4 papers and the last one is a group paper that you don't get to pick your partners. Make sure to show up for the in-class activities. final is easy 10 questions just like in class activities. She's a tough/fair grader. Take advantage when she offers to read your paper before you submit them.

She drops 6 of your lowest in class activities, and if you miss more than 6 class periods she wont drop your lowest grades. I loved her as a teacher, shes so nice and respectful! Essays are not hard at all, I would go let her read your essay when she offers her writing conferences! I wish she was teaching 1302, I would totally take her again!

Easy class, but doesnt respond to her students. Only gives you a grade and doesnt give reasoning behind it. I got an 86 on my final, but then she gave me a zero in the grade book. Easy class, but she fails to communicate well.

She's a good option if you can see and learn right way. By that I mean if you are a fast learner in grammar and punctuation it is an easy passing for you. She has in-class activities so you can only get credit for it if you are actually there. She also drops the 3/+ lowest grades.

This class is easy as long as u read. I missed no more than 2 or 3 q's on her reading assignments. She drops ur 4 lowest reading assignments. Her 4 tests are super easy, made 100's on 3 of them. The writing assignments are not that hard as long as you follow the format in the book. I haven't taken the final exam yet, but I think I will do well.

I avoided taking English because of all the writing, but Prof Armentrout is gracious when grading papers. She gives you writing outline handouts that are helpful. There is opportunity for extra credit, which is pretty easy if you take the time to do it.

I began this class with hesitation. I can honestly say now that I've rather enjoyed myself. The Professor is fair, helpful and clear with her instructions. If you apply yourself, read and study you can't fail. Your (student) grade is completely up to you!

She is an awesome teacher! I would choose her over any other teacher for english. I took it online and she had six essays you do not even have to do the last one. The final is also an essay. You can also finish all the essays in advance so you are done with the class. She seems like a pretty chill person even if you take her in class.

Took her class on-line.I really enjoyed it. Her directions were clear and precise, which is important when taking a class over the internet. I recommend this class to anyone who is looking to take their 1st web class.English is my least favorite subject,But I finished with an A!!!

Took tech writing with her. thought I was going to make a C but somehow made an A?? She is quirky and if you have a class in the computer lab with her dont play solitaire on the comp cause she will yell at you. I maybe went to half the class periods so attendence isnt mandatory. she is tenured so she pretty much does what she wants to do.

Took this class online. Loved it. There was work involved and essays to write, but this class was fun and a good first web class for me to take. Her class is set up SO well that it was a pleasure (if there is such a thing when taking classes) If you haven't taken any WebCT courses and want a good one to start with... Ms. A's class is for you!
