Comment:

Dr. Mallery was a life saver for me. He wasn't great at getting back to you on non-class hours if you have questions, but you can always ask the TA's (even though they were often not helpful) or during class time. He always goes out of his way during class to make sure no one has any questions. He also curves his tests, which helped immensely.

Took his class with Prof. Evans. They were NOT organized and Mallery was a bit rude when you try asking a question. He expects you to know everything without needing his, THE PROFESSOR'S, help. I don't recommend taking his classes.

He is always available if you need help with anything. His tests make a big impact on your grade. Quizzes every Friday that can really effect your grade in the long run. Just study weekly and you should do great!

Pretty easy if you read, essays he assigns are easy and quizzes every friday are easy if you read. Lectures give you can idea of what to focus on from the readings. He is clear when he lectures and is helpful. He's smirky. Overall, if you want an A just read the assigned readings.

Dr. Mallery is a great professor, he knows what he is talking about and honestly it's his life! He is a tough teacher but the PSYC 32x classes are tough anyways and luckily he is always willing to help. will ask questions throughout lecture to make sure we understand. A hard teacher but a great one. Talk to him and I'm sure he will help you a lot

Horrible prof. Just way too hard. He's confusing. I had to read the exam questions multiple times before I understood what he was trying to ask. He's way too detailed on his exams.

His exams are ridiculous. The man words his exams and everything else as if we all hold a ph.d. I've taken classes from him before but wow has this class and his teachings for this class discouraged me from pursuing psych in grad school. The worst part is that we still have 2 more quarter of this horrid class.

I am currently working on my PhD in social psychology thanks in part to Dr. Mallery. His classes are not easy, but they're extremely rewarding. He sets clear expectations and lectures in an organized, logical way. I recommend taking social psych and the prejudice seminar from him.

He is not an easy professor, but the man is a genius. If you want to learn and open your mind, take ANY class from him, but I especially recommend Prejudice and Gender Psych. I have never learned as much as when I was in those classes.
