Dr. Blau is a very nice guy, will practically give you the answer, but don't expect to actually learn the material. His lecture style is very messy and complex.

His lectures would be somewhat confusing, but if you talked to him individual he explained things very well. You do an extra credit problem everyday, so it made me want to go to class more. I have always had a love for math and his class was great for that.

Comment:

I never got anything higher than a B in math classes in high school, but I managed to get an A- in Dr. Blaus Trig class. I think this speaks volumes to his ability as a professor. He is willing to help and cares greatly about his students. This class was not easy, but it is possible to get a good grade if you put the effort into it.

Comment:

Blau is very understanding. Can be confusing and contradicting in lectures. Always willing to meet with you outside of class. Keep up with the online quizzes by doing a few each week, and study well for in class quizzes. He takes questions off of the quizzes for the exams. Extra credit question given every day. Study and show up and youll pass.

Blau means well. The more complicated the material gets the worse he is at explaining it. He is too smart to teach the material. He just expects everyone to understand the material after he works a few problems. He gives an extra credit problem everyday in class and that is what he uses for attendance. You have take home quizes and online problems.

Started the semester out a bit rocky due to some miscommunication however after a few meetings after class we were able to get on the same page. Once he understood how I approached things he was quick to offer good feedback. Brilliant guy who is likely misunderstood a bit too often.

I bought the textbook with the access code and didn't even use the textbook, so I wasted over $200. Professor seems to be a nice guy, but tends to jump around in his lectures. If you aren't decent at math, avoid this professor if you can, or at least prepare to hire private math tutor because the math lab won't be of much help.

This teacher is horrible. I have always been great at math, but this is just ridiculous. Half of the time he gets hung up on working out the questions on the bored, cause unnecessary confusion to himself and to the class. I learned very little from this teacher. He is pretty nice, but my gosh, please avoid if you're not into struggling to get a D.

I am great at Math, I have got nothing but A's all through school. Until I took Blau's class. While he explains problems he gets himself confused. does not explain problems well at all. He talks in circles. the quizzes and test are nothing like the homework you do. he makes the class confusing and harder then it should be!
