You can tell she cares about what she is teaching! Her instructions for assignments may be lengthy at times, but she spells out for you exactly what she wants, so as long as you follow them, you'll get an A. Feedback is straightforward, not sugarcoated, which may seem harsh to some, but it's constructive criticism. Enjoyed this class thoroughly!

Very kind and caring woman. If you do the work as she asks, you'll get an A in the class. She will also answer your questions with insights on what she means on assignments. One of the most pleasant women I've had the pleasure of learning with. Take this course if you really want to learn.

Her one benefit is that she gives no timed tests. Otherwise, she has poor communication because her instructions to all her assignments are very unclear. They will ramble on and on without really giving you any direction. Plus she's VERY picky about how she wants you to do everything. You gotta put in extra time and pay very close attention!

Assignment explanation is too lengthy and confusing. She does not like if you email students for clarifications. This professor does not give effective feedback and does not focus on the positive areas for further growth or outcomes. Her negative feedback can turn into frustration. I got an A- but not without feeling overwhelm and stressed out.

WORST PROFESSOR I HAVE EVER HAD. I AM AN ADULT AND GET TALKED TO LIKE A CHILD. I DO MORE WORK IN THIS CLASS AS A LAB THAN ANY OTHER COURSE I TAKE. YOU WOULD THINK THAT BIO LAB FOR NON SCIENCE MAJORS WOULD BE EASY BUT IT DEFINITELY IS NOT. VERY CONFUSING. HER ASSIGNMENTS ARE HARD TO FIGURE OUT. I GET SNAPPED AT FOR ASKING QUESTIONS. DONT TAKE

Yes she gives a lot of work but not half as much as what other teachers do in an online class. On top of that she SCALES everything so your bound to get a good grade and she tells you EXACTLY WHAT TO DO IN HER INSTRUCTIONS. Not really sure how thats confusing. However, she is harsh with her feedback but still gives good grades because of effort.

For me, what is most annoying is she posts so much content to the point of confusion. It took me nearly four weeks to figure out how she wanted labs done, she posted many different instructions to do things different ways in each one. She gives long feedback which is good, and shows she cares, but this class can be very very confusing.

She's an old-fashioned school teacher. I think some aren't used to that (I am). She walks you through everything; just do the work. Attending chats can help your grade. Very clear and gives you more info than you probably need. Picky, but so what. Easy grader, just wants things done a certain way, so indulge her and you'll do well.

If you're an online student, take this class for your GE requirement because you don't need to know science-y stuff like bio and chem. Know you're in there to finish the class, agree with her thought processes and try to show some interest in human ecology and you will get an A. Much easier than chem and bio (I took all three).

Very confusing class. Not allowed to interact with others except under very micromanaged circumstances. Easy homework, but very uninspired class. Exams are super easy essays, have a week to do them on your own. Easy but annoying and v confusing.

I would not recommend taking this class with this articular professor. The professor was rude and harsh with everything. I doubt she has the best interest for students.Just can’t disagree with her...She does not like class interaction. Get ready to read A LOT and hope she retires soon so others can have a better learning experience.

Intro to Bio lab online. Prof does what she can with it being an online lab course; is very quick to respond to email questions. You’ll do fine if you follow her instructions closely, try to incorporate feedback into subsequent labs, do the work and submit it on time. She recognizes effort even if you don’t nail each assignment perfectly.

I took this because it was required for my degree but I found it difficult because the professor is very nit picky, she's hard to please & you have to agree with her view point. I found it more frustrating than anything else. Wouldn't have taken it if I wasn't forced to.

Class satisfies course and lab requirements for IT degree; though only 3 credits are awarded. Investigative papers are considered labs. Appreciated this as I didn't set foot in a lab. We read most of the book. Topics were supported by interactive web sites. Forum posts impact grade. You'll be graded fairly but the course isn't a "gimme."

Taking Bio lab online. She is really awful. Instructions are confusing, and her feedback on labs is not helpful, just rude. She harshly critiques everything you write. Way too difficult for an intro class!!!

I have no interest in science, in fact I despise it. However, this class was much more interesting and easier than I thought. Prof does not teach by the book which I think is easier, exams are short essays. Once a week disc/assnmt which I felt was quite light compared to other classes. I implemented environmental actions because of this class.

I like this teacher very much. I think the reviews are inaccurate. She has been very helpful when I didn't understand the material. She gives thoughtful, interesting assignments. I will take more classes with her. I don't feel she has a bias that skews grades or the education she provides.

Some of the investigations were interesting and enhanced my understanding of my biology class. Her grading process was confusing; it seems like she marks off if you don't share her opinion, even if you cite resources backing up you own opinion. When we had a paper assigned we were only allowed using her sources.

I took Human Ecology online. She asked inappropriate questions (how many children you were going to have). And it was too focused on her political agenda. I would never recommend her.
