One of the best professors I've had at SCSU. Everything he says is interesting and applicable to life. He truly cares about his students. He assigns minimal homework and is an easy grader as long as you put an effort in.

Bruce (as he has you call him) is not only the best professor I've had here at SCSU, but one of the most interesting people I have ever known. He did an amazing job of making communication possible, and a change was not only noticeable inside the classroom, but even while people were waiting for the class out in the hall. Take his class!

By far one of the most interesting and entertaining professors I have ever had! He teaches things in an effective way that leaves a lasting impression. He comes off as a little abrasive at first but that is one of the things I like the most about him. If given the opportunity, take a class with Bruce because you won't regret it!

By FAR the best teacher I've had so far at SCSU. He doesn't like teaching with technology, so it's all lectures-but not to worry-he grabs your attention so easily. He's a stickler for attendance, but if you miss no more than a few classes you won't have to take the final. This class helped me learn about life, not just speaking! TAKE HIM!

The best professor I've ever met. Still a professional actor playing at local theatre. Love his class because he makes it simple yet interesting. Played duckduckgrayduck once in class. Makes you think a lot - about life. Encourages his students to tryout school plays. No textbooks, no exams! Your attendance makes up 70% of total grade. Recommended!

Interesting classes, something different each class, keeps you on your toes, many presentations & outside group work, teaches you various communication theories, fair grader, seems abrasive at first, and hard to figure out, but has a big heart. I would recommend this professor.

Bruce was on Star Trek! He can seem a little scary and unapproachable at first, but he really warms up to students. I was TERRIFIED to take speech, but I found myself almost looking forward to the class. He can be a bit abrasive, but you start to get used to it. I feel like all honors students should take a class from him!

Great professor. He is totally into helping his students become better actors. Attendance is a must and if you attend all his classes u dont have to take the final. No book, but must go to 4 plays and write a short paper on them. I'd take him again for sure.

The best professor I have ever had. He makes you think about things that really apply to your life. His lectures didn't put me asleep like in other classes; They were interesting and kept me actively involved. I actually looked forward to and enjoyed going to his class (which if you know me, that's a miracle in its own).
