One of the best professors ive had at LCCC. One of the only teachers that cares about your individual learning and does what she can to help the class understand. If you like old school lectures instead of these powerpoints now adays this is the teacher to go with.

Comment:

Rachel is one of the best professors at LCCC (if not THE best). Her passion for what she teaches is palpable and her sense of humor is awesome! Lectures are lucid and engaging. Teaches the material so clearly and fully that you won't need the textbook. Really just a brilliant educator... and the professor I'll miss the most. I highly recommend her.

Bus. Stat. is not an easy course. There is a LOT of material covered, and you really need to pay attention and keep up with things. However, Prof. Plaksa is up there when it comes to favorite professors. She really wants everyone to succeed and does everything in her power to make sure that happens. If you're willing to work, you'll be fine.

The class can be hard if you miss class and the notes. She is very to-the-point when teaching and usually tries to give good examples when the material is difficult. There is a lot of coursework to cover but if you pay attention and do the homework you will be fine.

By far my favorite prof at LCCC, her lectures are crystal clear, but if you skip class you wont pass. Never opened my econ book so dont buy it. All you need are her notes in class. Three tests, five quizzes and five HW assignments, easy A. all you need to do is pay attention.

Rachel is probably the best teacher that I've had at LCCC. She's really smart, and is very good at relating information to students. Not an "easy A", but all you have to do is take notes and pay attention in class. Easily accessible and wants to see students do well. I barely opened the textbook for Econ, all you need is notes from her lectures.

Mrs. Plaksa goes by Rachel, and she will go out of the way to ensure people comprehend. She keeps macro very simple and comprehensive, and she can be funny. Her homework is mandatory, but she may drop one. She's very casual, she doesn't mind tardiness or absence, but you will get lost if you miss more than twice.

Nice woman, good personality. Usually one small homework assignment and a quiz that she will prepare you for each week. Three total tests. She gives notes and it seems easy enough, but the material can be quite challenging. I regret not reading from the book, but she never encouraged it.

This teacher is seriously one on the best. She is crystal clear in what she wants, and she prepares you for the tests extremely well. If you dont get an A you simply did not listen in class and didnt do the few handfull of HW assignments.

Wish I could've had her for Macro too! Takes you step by step, not too much info all at once. Uses unique and catchy ways to remember key information. You *will* understand by the end of the semester!

Easy to understand. One of the better teachers I've had. A quiz almost each week and 3 tests. Tests are mostly multiple choice. Homework is optional. This teacher is ALWAYS late to class and then tries to hold you at the end because all the material is not covered. If I am there on time I expect the teacher to be ready to start on time.
