Comment:

He is a nice guy and very passionate towards the subject, yet the class was just very dry. Basically everyday was a lecture for the entire 75 minutes. You can easily get bored. Participation is crucial, yet if you are not a fan of speaking in class discussions you can post on the online discussion page.

Very knowledgeable. He doesn't like the president of the United States, he tries to influence his liberal democratic views on students. he should focus more in the books. His subject is very interesting.

If you do not do the labs and the assignments that he gives, you will struggle in the class. He expects you to participate or your grade will suffer. You have a lot of labs, textbook assignments, group work, composition tests, and two exams. If you do the work and participate you should be fine. Don't expect to get an easy A

I think he expects too much from students who can't fluently speak spanish. Obviously, you can't blame the professor for 100% of the students' issues. However, I feel as though he makes the tests too difficult. Overall, I don't like this guy, but to each his own I guess.

This professor is my all time favorite in the spanish department. He is knowledgable, gives interesting lectures, is funny and relatable to his students while simultaneously teaching a lot of dense material at once. Be curious, ask questions and don't do obvious analysises and he will appreciate your risks.

PROF. GALOPPE WAS DEFINITELY WORTH IT MY TIME. THIS CLASS WAS NOT ONLY INTERESTING AND FUN, BUT ALSO VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. HE GAVE AMAZING FEEDBACK ON EVERY ASSIGNMENT AND ALSO THE FINAL PROJECT. VERY SMART, KNOWLEDGEBLE ON THE SUBJECT. OVERALL, AMAZING,AMAZING AMAZING. IF YOU DO THE WORK YOU WILL GET AN A+, JUST LIKE I DID. LOVED HIM.

He is awesome ! extremely intelligent in all topics. He is a bit of a tough grader but if he sees that students try and take risks with their ideas instead of writing the safe an obvious interpretation he really will take that into consideration. He is very sarcastic and If you use your phone in class he will call you out on it.

I really did not care for his medieval lit course. He gave the students many small presentations on articles, but as we presented he was on his laptop the whole time and was not paying attention at all. The guy is very passionate about queer theory, but I felt that he focused too much on that instead of other interpreations. I won't take him again.

I took this class over the summer. There were only 10 classes and in 5 of them we watched movies. The grade was based on participation, a group project that was based on the movie. and the final, which was on blackboard. I did none of the assigned readings and still managed a B on the final and an A- for the class

You watch a different movie each week and discuss it in the large lecture hall and then again in your small class. One group project where you lead the discussion of a certain movie. One paper at the end of the semester. Tests and quizzes were all online and they made it very easy for you to pass it. Class was kind of boring, but also kind of easy.

He is defenetely a hot professor alright! He is smart, intellectual, with a great personality and he knows very well what he is talking about. Even though, some people say he doesn't take attendance, he does, and he likes students to talk about the topics been argued and most important he sees the effort of students. He is one of the best teachers

I can't say enough good things about him. He's very smart, funny, helpful and respectful of everyone's opinions. He loves feedback from the class so be prepared to speak up. He told the class he always wanted a chili pepper (for hotness) on this website, so u can already get a hint of his great sense of humor.

Had him for Latin Women in Film. Would recommend him for this class. He can get off topic, but if you have classmates with half a brain you’ll have good in-class discussions and learn a lot from each other AND him. Nice guy, tends not to take sides, so you better have an opinion of your own to voice. Takes attendance, no tests, just 1 easy project

Galoppe is one of the worst professors in the Spanish department. He mumbles and goes off topic all of the time. We rarely talked about what we were supposed to. I learned more from the book and iot also had a better personality. We got so far behind, he cancelled the final. We had 1 exam, 1 paper, and 1 presentation.

Talks a lot, hardly has any grades, takes attendence. Rarely stay on topic, very random, hard to follow. A lot of reading and viewing movies outside of class. Nice, but I wouldn't recommend.
