My experiences differ from other comments here. No final, not-pop quizzes (announced the class before), two mid-terms, and assignments make up the mark. Everything is multiple choice, with little to no trick answers, which is great if you understand the concepts and not great if you want to fake it. Very dry subject. Might retire this year tho!

No final in this class, but quizzes make up a lot of the mark. He is sometimes hard to follow when he starts talking about other things, but is generally a nice guy. Test and quiz questions are hard at times, but know how to do calculations and you will be fine.

not that bad of a guy. I think he can be a little boring at times, but it seems like he has good intentions. I don't like his marking scheme. quizes count for 30%. Everything he does is multiple choice, which is something else I don't like.

not a very god prof. I don't make it a habit of criticizing people unless they deserve it, but this guy does. All of the quizes, midterm and final are all multiple choice. This isn't fair because it doesn't allow students to indicate whether they understand concepts or not. you either pick the rightanswer ans pass or the wrong answer and fail.

Who gives pop quizzes worth 30%??? thats just wrong. Very boring professor and concepts arent explained clearly. Questions are worded so strangely on the MC midterm and final. The textbook also sucks - very unclear.

The class is quite boring. The pop quizzes suck and are kind of hard. He tries to make things more interesting though and is a pretty nice guy.

Dry... He tried about midway through to liven it up with some class exercises, then the hole thing just slid down hill. Needs to change the format of the course.

Dr McGaw is a good prof. The lectures are kind of dry but it's not his fault, it's the material. The assigmnents are actually very easy. Study the quizes because he reuses them for exam questions. The way he words assignements/quizes is confusing
