Awful professor. Thinks way too highly of himself and makes inappropriate jokes, and makes you look stupid if you ask questions. Do not take him, avoid at all cost.

If you're not looking for a challenging class, DON'T take this! The essays pretty much killed me; be sure to go to his tutorials. He does often go on tangents, but they're incredibly entertaining and his lectures totally make it worthwhile. Overall it was a hard class, but very rewarding and satisfying.

Remington is a great professor for all you English majors out there. You do lots of reading for this class. He is a tough grader and excepts you to know more then you've probably been taught in English. His lectures can seriously be pointless sometimes because he goes off on rants. I would not recommend this professor.

I would not recommend taking him for ENC 1102. That course is bad enough, and Professor Remington does not matters any. He thinks that everyone in the class is an aspiring writer or a poet. If you are taking ENC1102 because it is required for your AA, do not take him as your Instructor.

He expects you to read his mind. you will get quizzed on subjects before you get the lectures. WTF to that. I was a straight A student before I took his class, and now I am fighting for a C. I had the writing lab help me with my paper, and I still have to redo it for a C grade. Who does he expect me to take it to if they can't help me?

I'm normally a happy and easy-going person, but this professor was terrible. He made fun of his students, and other staff members. He's extremely unprofessional. He made his students almost cry if they didn't write a good paper. He makes you feel stupid, and is a tough grader. I helped my father on his papers (who is in grad school), and got an 97.

Professor Remington was by far THE best professor I've had so far. If you aren't a grown up, he will definitely point that out. No immature students should enter this room. I learned so much from his lectures that I didn't have to prepare or study much, the papers on the other hand were very specific. Lots of effort with the reading. Loved him

He really is a GREAT Professor. You have to work very hard in this class. There are nine reading quizzes, two essays, research paper and a final. Go to class, take notes, and read all the stories and you will do fine. Go to the tutorials for the essays. The tutorials help so much on the essays. He gives you all the info you need for the essays.

He's a really strict grader. I had two AP teachers help me write one of my papers and I still only got a 75 on the paper. Good guy makes class interesting and cracks a couple jokes here and there

He is one of my favorite professors that I have had. If you pay attention and do your homework, you will not have any trouble. Perfect attendance is rewarded by dropping your two lowest scoring quizzes. I would recommend this professor to anyone who is willing to put the time and effort into their schoolwork.

HE IS GREAT! One of my all time favorite teachers. The people who don't want to work or read the syllabus and COMPREHEND it seem to be the ones that don't like him. He has a great sense of humor which only one other student and I seemed to get. TAKE THIS CLASS, SERIOUSLY, HE IS AN EASY TEACHER IF YOU KNOW HOW TO READ.

I LOVE THIS GUY!!! The last commenter must be lazy and have no type of humor because this is one of my favorite professors of all time! If you are willing to do the work and can comprehend the syllabus and his directions, he is agreat teacher. He even has a sense of humor that the others apparently didn't get. GIVE HIM A CHANCE, HE'S GREAT!

DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER. I have always been an A student and struggled to even get a low B. I never write on this site but must warn everyone. Tests are hard and he expects you to read his mind. A lot of studying and still may do poorly. Find another professor no matter what

Took his class for my seven-week IDS course. He laid it out with a calendar which explained what we would be doing each class. Pretty easy class though. Only two essays and a small research portion of the class.

His class is really hard and so is his grading scale. He expects you to know everything already, and his classes are at a fast pace. He misguides you about your grades and the chances of you passing. He is a nice person but not a good professor. He also gets off topic easily. I do NOT recommend taking him atleast for ENC 1101.

DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. He expects you to be perfect and grades papers very strictly. Doesn't explain assignments well and is sarcastic and rude when you ask questions. I have never gotten a grade below a C and I got a D in his class.

He is EXTREMELY STRICT on his grading scale, does not explain the topics or information well, and expects you to know and be perfect in English before you attend his class. I would not take him if you are looking for anything above a "B" unless you are a genius at English... Even then be wary. He is also EXTREMELY pompous!
