Pierce has lost a great one. Ono was pure Old-School and as one of his last students appreciate this fact. He demanded lots from his students, but if you delivered you got rewarded with a good grade. He was tough, but benevolent if you sought him out for clarity, of which he was perfect for. As & Bs were a realistic achievement. Adios El Ono!!!

all I can say is he is the BEST PROFESSOR EVER!!!!!! his note is crystal clear! have 5 quizzes, 3 exams, 2 lab practical,a group project, and you're done! do study his note and read the textbook. i really recommend Dr.Ono !!!!!!!!!!

Lets face it, organic chemistry is tough! But Dr.Ono is one of the best professors I have ever had. I am in grad school now (not for chemistry) but I will always remember my ochem class in junior college. It really helped me create great studying habits. Really knows his stuff and willing to help if you are serious about studying.

Dont miss out on Dr.ono, hes the best ochem teacher at pierce, and also one of the best teachers overall. I took him for ochem 1 and 2 (211-212) and actually had fun(no kidding).He makes the subject fun and worthwhile. Always willing to help if you show you are willing to work. One of the greatest professor at pierce college, he will make you underestand what chemistry is all about! This is a tough class, you have to study and his test are tricky but you will learn during class! he is amazing and he answers questions clearly! he will help you as much as he can!

Very hard and strict teacher. Labs are alright, but lab practicals are hard and graded strictly. Doesn't really answer questions outside of office hours. His lectures are clear, but tests can be tricky sometimes. I've heard better things about meyer. if you can take her, dont take ono.

Hands down best professor I've ever had in my life and probably ever will have. Great lecturer and very organized. Take good notes, do the practice exams & quizzes, go to office hours! Put in the work and you will get the A. Dr. Ono is the best teacher out there and you will miss out if you don't take him for ochem!

Don't buy the book!!I took both 211 and 212. If you need to take O-chem, take him. I took Oxy and I ended up dropping! take perfect notes. ur notes are your book. write everything down. use his office hours. He is hard on you for 211, but gets cool for 212. You'll love him. He is the best. 89% is a B! Labs are important.

Best teacher in the whole world. Not as hard as people say. You need to spend alot of time for this class.The material isn't hard as long as you study.He IS anal about lab reports. He's extremely anal, but I think he's only difficult because ochem is difficult. But he's probably one of the best professors I've ever had...very clear and tests are pretty staight forward. I had to study very hard for this class, but it is possible to get an A! I recommend buying the book but it's not necessary.

Everyone keeps saying organic chemistry is hard with dr. ono. It is not even that hard. The class is easy as long as you attend lectures and read his assignments. The lab is a little hard because everything has to be perfect in order to get a good grade. Take Dr. ono for sure and do not be scared. he is a good teacher, and sometimes hard in labs.

Organized, clear notes & EXTREMELY anal. Hardest teacher u will ever take. I worked my a@# off & got B's both sem. Covers 23/24 ch in book. U will present probs on board, multp group projects and a huge paper at year end. Consider this 2 hard science classes in ur schedule. U need an excellent memory or be near genius to get A's. U've been warned!
