Very interesting lectures, Russ is cocky & impish but warm and really sinks his teeth into teaching his concepts. Occasionally the classes can become redundant, since its lecture heavy multiple classes are often spent on one topic, and he is rather prone to tangents. But overall, a rather easy class (2 writing assignments, quizzes every other week

Hilarious guy, talks a lot but he makes you read to pass the test, and quizzes. He uses his own textbook, which is great but can also be hard. Great Guy.

This is easily my favorite class. He goes off on tangents and tells hilarious stories which makes the class enjoyable to go to. We have a quiz every other week online which are very easy! Two exams the whole semester which were ok. And one large paper. Hes a great teacher and I highly recommend the class!

Logic was interesting. It's like a math class homework, quizzes, exams. No papers/projects. Don't miss class, or you'll miss either homework turn-in or a quiz. Make-ups must be pre-scheduled. Russ is great about not moving on to new material until everyone is ready. Be sure to ask questions in class. It's daunting at first, but he makes it fun.

Best teacher I ever had. Took him for Intro to Phil, Logic, and Ethics. Always excited to go to his classes and arguing with him is super fun as long as you can take it. Sad to not be in his classes anymore next semester. Very fair and easy grader as long as you read, explains logic very well. I'm horrible at math but got a B in his logic class!!

Let me be the one dissenting voice here. Russ subbed for our class for 2 weeks, I wouldn't have been able to put up with him for a full semester. He gave us 20+ pages of Murray Rothbard garbage to read, then banged on for the hour about his dumb compassionate anarchism theories. I'm sure he's a nice guy and an easy grader, but 2 weeks was enough.

Russ is not your clear cut person. He is funny, makes class fun, and is open to hear what you have to say--always. He brings class to places you never really see coming, but thats is the fun of it! This was by far the best class I have taken at LSC.

He is so funny. Definitely makes going to class fun and not boring. Participation makes it even better for yourself. You write one paper and have a quiz every week online. Go to class and read the book and you will do great. The book is not difficult to understand or read.

Russ is a very intelligent man! He is very open to everyones views and makes every effort to explore different outlooks to moral dilemmas faced in life. He is HILARIOUS, and makes the class atmosphere very inviting. Quizzes are online and are exactly what we talk about in class. Very fun class to be in!

Great!!! as many stated, dont try and prove him wrong because although in your world he may be, he knows the art of debate far beyond what he teaches. These are classes that will help you figure out yourself anyway so its not much about how he thinks hes right just that you can explain your way thoroughly throughout your life.One of the good ones
