Dr. McCutcheon is a brilliant professor - probably the smartest person I've ever encountered, yet still so down to earth and helpful with students truly trying to learn. Class was always interesting and I looked forward to going every time! Take this class - it's mindblowing! He gives a couple pop quizzes but those and the tests are straightforward

First of all you would only fail if you never bolded the words in the books. He starts to lean off of the books around the third test. He is a very caring teacher who makes the quizzes and tests easy for even the people who don't show up.

McCutcheon's lectures go way over my head but his tests are very fair and easy (matching). He gives random pop quizzes so you have to attend class. He is a kind professor and cares about his students. I would definitely take him again.

He is a very smart man, but his lectures are way over my head. Read the book and take notes on the bolded words and you will pass. He really cares about his students. Class is not mandatory but there are 10 in class quizzes given randomly throughout the semester. Also gives tons of extra credit..

McCutcheon is a great teacher who teaches you a new way of looking at things. Attendance is necessary because he gives quizzes which are 20% of your grade. Class discussion is interesting, but unrelated to the tests, which are multiple choice vocabulary from the book. Tests are very easy. Super easy class. I highly recommend taking this class.

I really really enjoyed this class. Dr. McCutcheon is a really smart guy who gets you thinking in a way that you didn't before. He does quick quizzes at the beginning of each class, but they helped my grade. Just make sure you go over the words from the reading before class and you'll get full credit. Tests weren't hard at all.

Honestly I really liked the class. I would get zoned out a lot but it definitely made me more aware of the world around me. I could apply what I he was lecturing to the real world. At first class was hard, but he gave us a super break at the end. No final exam. Attendance not required, but he gives random pop quizzes so go. Super smart, great guy

Wonderful teacher who really cares about students and their grades. Offers multiple extra credit opportunities throughout the term. Tests are typically vocab, but this is very beneficial to your overall understanding of the content. Loved the thought-provoking lectures given.

Just do the vocab out of the book he assigns every week and you'll be fine. You should easily get a B if you do. Come to class, as he does random quizzes all the time. Not hard at all.

Test are ridiculously specific and hard. He is also a very arrogant teacher who only likes a few students in the class.

Tests were super tough. Half of each test was very specific multiple choice that came from the textbook, and the other half was an essay that pertained to the lectures so you definitely have to go to class and read the textbooks to get a good grade on the tests.

He is easily the worst teacher I have had at the university. His lectures are so hard to follow and the test are even HARDER. Do not take this class.

not a big fan of this class/teacher.the test are ridiculous. however, this semester if you made higher than a 60 on the final test, then your highest grade from any one the test counted for 80% while the quizzes in class counted 20%. don't buy the Hippolytus book, you wont read it. but you do need to buy the other book that he wrote for quizzes.

avoid this class if you can! the most boring lecture i have ever had to sit through. it's not what you think it is. he explains things too much to where you got the first time but he keeps going.

Easiest class to make an A+ in ever, or at least it was this semester. As long as you attend class, you'll be fine. The class started out very boring and seemingly repetitive but got slightly more interesting as the class went on. McCutcheon is an all right professor. Don't take this course if you can avoid it, other than to get a good grade.

This class is rumored to be really hard but it isnt. If you go to class and take decent notes, youll get an A. All test questions come directly from lecture. You dont have to do any work other than tests and an easy 1 page paper. One complaint - he tries to trick you on some test questions by putting very similar answers, etc. Overall, good class.

go to class! not mandatory, but thats where all test material comes from and gives random quizzes, 10 a semester, that you only do if you are there. fairly interesting class, he tends to talk in circles though. don't always know what to write down

I really didn't like this class very much. McCutcheon is what I'd like to call "full of hot air". I doubt that he's as smart as he thinks he is. Even still, you'd actually have to TRY to fail this class.
