One of the BEST teachers I've had. Scares you at first to make sure your interested. Then has you do tons of fun, hands-on projects for the rest of the semester. The class is pretty laid back. I Honestly Looked forward to coming to class and tinkering with electronics :) I can't say I've felt this way about many, if any, other classes. TAKE HIM

He is a really good teacher. Easy. All you have to do is get your assignments done!!! Text book is hardly used. Just for few projects but he also provides you with online copy of those projects so dont really need the textbook. Midterm and Final are projects that you need to do, and present in the class.

Great teacher that knows his stuff but tends to figure problems as they come. His lectures are very important and well given. Online tests (book) tests (labs and lecture). Labs and group work make your grade. Teacher is very hard to get a hold of for help so make friends. Math is important (algebra, geometry, trig). Always ask questions and do work

Awesome guy and even better teacher. Not too helpful though. Class material is difficult if first time. Try until it hurts and get help. He bases his grading more on lab work and group work rather then tests. Make friends in class to better ease the difficulty of the class. Lecture is fast so ask questions or you will get lost. Book not used much.

He is a little unorganized. However, I have a lot of fun and learn a lot of stuffs in this class. I always look for class that takes me out of memorizing formulas to use on tests and Mr. Davila does a pretty good job on guiding us toward the outside world.

A lot of the assignments and labs that are given will not be clearly explained. He is a very unprepared professor and will use up valuable class time trying to figure out what he is trying to explain. He has a very good background in his education and is very knowledgable on engineering careers and schools. If you need advice ask him.

Worst professor I've ever had. I've completed 57 units with a 4.0 GPA & am getting an A w/Davila. He went into teaching b/c "I like having 4 months off in summer." He is disorganized & never available. His lectures are very hard to follow. Online quizzes (7% of our grade) take hours & are error-ridden. He makes you suffer unnecessarily.

You have to be oriented with geometry and math, have a little bit of CAD knowledge, and be able to DO and LISTEN at the same time for 3 hours. Too much lecture not enough lab time. Too many unanswered questions. Work load can be doubled if you dont like the teaching style. The students in class were self kept and unwilling to help.HW is convoluted.

I've been doing CAD design and drafting for over 14 years and I took his 8B and 8C classes. I've got nothing but good things to say about him! Trust me, anything he covers in class you WILL encounter in the work world. Ignore the negative comments, it's probably the struggling students who don't get it. Excellent teacher and I highly recommend him!
