Scot is my absolute favorite professor. He's honest but he's also understanding. You can practically talk about anything with Scot. He's also a music genius, and has taught me a lot about music theory. He's also the most quotable professor, he says the funniest things you'll ever hear.

Scot is the man! I'm not a singer, but his sight singing class has become my favorite class recently. Honestly even if you don't need the class I recommend it just cause it's a lot of fun and mentally challenging on a different level from every other class. Not really an easy A per say, however if you have any music background you'll be A-Okay

Scot is my director for Schola and 10 PM Mass choir and I loooove him. He's really nice and I'm amazed at how he is able to demand the best out of us in such a positive way. His methods for making us relax and sing as a group are really helpful. If you ever get a chance to work with him, do.

I sang in baccalaureate just for the hell of it and ended up feeling really good about it. It was hard and I was a little nervous about it. But it was unbelievably awesome and I absolutely loved it.

Never fails to surprise, keeps me much more interested than I'd've thought, likes taking people off guard to keep them focused during rehearsal. Very high standards. I'm always surprised by how good he gets us to sound even on the tough stuff. Positive about failures, generous about successes. Spacey with reality, but willing to say "I don't know".

Too much coffee. Focused on detail, technique, listening. Runs a tight rehearsal, comes in with a list of things to be accomplished and gets them done. Works you hard, makes you concentrate, doesn't let you slack. Everyone feels good about the end result. Baccalaureate was the highlight of my year.
