This professor cares about his students and other people. He is very knowledgeable and seemingly wants all his students to pass. There are 2 exams, a final paper, and one presentation you are graded on . Therefore, you are graded by a few items however he is not a tough grader. Long as you meet the criteria you should be good.

This teacher is ridiculous. Do not expect help from him. Talks too fast, his slides are just photos, crams too much information in too quickly and exams demand too much. The textbooks are fairly useless and challenging to understand but you need to read them all

Hes legit the best professor you will take at Towson, his passion and the way he genuinely cares about his students is so clear. The first part of anth of islamic culture is lecture based, and then after the midterm its guest speakers and presentations which are cool. EVERYONE should take this class because it changes your view of the world,

Professor Buresh is an obviously kind man. He explains concepts well and thoroughly. I really enjoyed his class. His Islamic course does have heavy reading, so make sure you keep up with it. But, it is refreshing to have a Professor who is passionate and very knowledgeable.

Dr. Buresh is the sweetest and most loving professor I've had. I took him for three classes here and I would 100% go back if I could. An A isn't easy to earn but what you take away from him is more humbling and real. He wants you to change the world and he gives everything he has in him everyday. Dr. Buresh is one of those professors you love.

Scott Buresh is a very nice, helpful professor. He is very understanding and respectful of his students. DO THE STUDY GIUDES FOR THE MIDTERM AND FINAL. They are the exact same questions as on the test, and the tests are open note. As long as you show up and do your part you will pass.

No Homework which is guhooood, but really bad at like making sure students understand the concepts. He doesn't have a power point or even write anything down at all and that makes it close to impossible to take notes. He also gets really side tracked and i feel like this course would be 100% easier if he just got a lil more organized.

Take him. Is he easy? No. But he's not difficult either if you try. He really values the courses he teaches because they reflect what is actually going on in the world. Keep in mind he has seen things most people can't even imagine in his work and travels. He will go out of his way for you (grades/life) to make sure you do well if you show you care

He was one of the sweetest professors I've ever had. I'd love to have him again. You'll need the books for class. The mid terms are based on the readings and lectures. His classes are usually smaller so he takes attendance. His class isn't terribly hard if you keep up with the readings. I got a B-

If you do not buyread the textbooks, the class is almost impossible. Class attendance is mandatory yet the only thing discussed in class are the readings due that day. Actual teaching is a rarity and the test questions are brutal. He treats his undergraduate courses like a graduate course, which is not how it is supposed to be.

Just like his ANTH 368 class: midterm and final are essay-based (blue book). Tons of writing. Loves participation, though not graded on it. Subject matter is a little unclear at times. You can turn in 2 extra credit assignments (total of 10 points). Research paper is a bit difficult (8 pages), choose a very specific topic with adequate sources.

The 1st half of the semester is brutal; the readings are extremely difficult. 2nd half is MUCH better: guest lecturers, more modern readings. Midterm and final are essay-based (blue book). Be sure to ask about extra credit (sometimes he forgets), you can write two 1-pg papers on any globalization topic. LOVES participation. 10 page research paper.

Best professor I've ever had at Towson. Dr Buresh is very knowledgeable and extremely passionate about his class. Cares about his students and wants you to succeed. Brings in guest speakers as part of class to bring real world insight into what you're covering in class. 2 exams and a research paper, gives exam questions (Essays) in advance.

There isn't enough room to write all the pros about him and too much room to write about the cons (if any). You need to give effort to do well and he will challenge you to think for yourself, but it is because he truly cares about this world and strives to better his students. He is beyond personable and knows that things come up in life. TAKE HIM.

As for getting an easy grade, please do this man a favor and go elsewhere because he actually enjoys working with you to develop your understandings of the course material. If you don't have anywhere else to go, fear not, he is a sympathetic grader the more he feels his class is learning during the semester. Great person. My 123-126th credits.

He's a really nice guy, but the class is a little boring. You don't really need to buy any of the books as long as you study for the exams (they're essays. He gives you the questions beforehand). There's one research paper, but aside from that a lot of lecture. He is very excited about it and it is interesting, but not the most engaging.
