Comment:

Simeen is a treasure! Even as a non-Science major, I sincerely enjoyed her classes and learned tons in her Nuclear & Chemical Weapons course. This course was definitely a commitment and I wouldn't recommend taking it if you do not plan to put in the work. As long as you try, Simeen will accommodate you.

I thought she talked down to us in artist's materials, and on the one hand expected us to know nothing but then forgot what that was like! that said, she is always available to help is really sweet. I didn't have trouble with her lectures, but I catch on to science pretty fast (despite being an artist!).

Comment:

The Quantum World is an awesome class. She takes a very complex subject (I think there's also a 400 level class on the same thing offered right now), and makes it seem extremely simple, which is a gift for a teacher. I could never learn this material from a book. The weekly homework assignments are very good for learning the material.

I really respect Simeen for taking on Artist Materials, which is a class full of somewhat science wary artists. She definately throws herself into it and cares about our success. the tests are overly dificcult for the somewhat unclear notes given, i think she expects us to understand faster than we do, but shes always open to questions. Great!

Comment:

Simeen is teaching truly to help students succeed. She grades EVERYTHING, which is good and bad, and dedicates every moment possible outside of class to office hours, which is helpful for the amount of work she assigns. Overall, an excellent professor.

Simeen is incredibly friendly and always willing to help. The weekly homework assignments and lab reports add up to a hefty workload. Her tests are always difficult, composed mainly of unfamiliar 'challenge'problems. If you want to do well in this class, you're gonna have to work your tail off, but if you chose to, she'll always be there to help.

She seems nice and helpful till you take the first test. Then you realize how inept at teaching she really is. She is terrible at explaining things, usually confuses herself in the middle of answering questions, and grades erratically. There was no textbook for my class, so you are counting on her to give you the right info. Nice, but incompetent.
