Comment:

Dr. Spiess is very nice and wants you to have success in his class. The first 2 test you must study for. The Simnet tests are easier if you do the skills and projects in class. Respect him, do your work, get an A. He also lets class out early a lot. I would take his class again!

Comment:

He is a very nice and understanding man. An easy A or B. All the test are online, so you know what you made as soon as your are done. Do the work. Before each test, review for about an hour and a half and you should get a good grade. Most Important: Be engaged with the class and with him. Be respectful and friendly toward him and he will like you.

Very strict on having your book. Will send you to get it. First tests come straight from the book and the others are like the simnet lessons. I personally didn't like the class, I recommend SIMS 101 instead. However, there is little homework and likes you if you are a lion, associated with the military, or an athelte.

Spiess is a great teacher. I would definitely recommend him. Everyone else is right in saying the first two test are straight out of the book, no lie there. The rest are easy and are EXACTLY like the simnet lessons. He's understanding, pretty chill about anything you're willing to talk to him about, and lets you out SOO early every day. Recommend!

Spiess is a great teacher. You MUST study for the first two test because they come straight out the book and are kinda confusing. The last three test are a breeze if you do Simnet! Bring your book everyday, flash drive, and do the assignments and you will pass!

He definitely chooses favorites Doesn't help, always gets upset when you ask for help, unless you're an Lion Doesn't teach First two test will be extremely hard But after that, everything gets super easy! I wouldn't recommend him to anyone, personally.

The first test is hard, very hard. However, the software tests are pretty easy. He plays favorites, mainly Lions Club and athletes. This class is pretty easy but can be a major headache. Just do what he says and you'll be fine.

He doesn't teach all that much. All you do is read the book word by word and do SAM excercises. The first part of class is bogus b/c its learning the components of the computer, and you HAVE to read the thousand pages out of one book. The second part of the class is doing step by step instructions in the second book. Just DO SAM excercises!!!

Study SAM a lot before the tests!! This class had very little outside work other than studying for the tests. Very easy A, no thanks to Spiess though...he almost seems to enjoy his student's failure! :(

I really detest this class! It's as if my knowledge on computers don't amount to anything! And I mean ANYTHING! I would inform other students not to acquire him as an instructor! It's entirely too much work, for a class that simple. That SAM's is absolutely ridiculous!!!!! It does not help everyone, and most people are not learn by it! I DON'T!!!!

Very very easy and helpful if u get on his good side. He will lecture you and test you but if you need help he'll be right there to help you and teaches very well overall I'd give him an A+
