I'm not really a science person so I did struggle a bit at first. Lectures consist of reading from powerpoints. 4 tests, if you do the practice questions on Carmen & memorize them, you can pass. Mandatory attendance, sign in sheet comes around at the end of class. He does tell you to read the book with a fine tooth comb. Pretty accurate.

If you do not have a lot of time on your hands or you are taking other classes that require a ridiculous amount of reading, I highly suggest not taking this class. There are four exams, including the final. If you do not have the time to read the book with a fine tooth comb then it will be really hard to pass.

An outstanding guy. All you have to do is memorize what he gives you on carmen and listen in the class before the exam when he asks you questions, and write those down and you'll get a 100% in the class. Attendance is 5% of your grade though, make sure you go. SUPER sweet guy. Lecture is boring, but it's worth going.

He basically reads all the power point also (available on canvas) notes to us! so coming to class is pointless but he 5% of the final grade is based on your attendence. its an easy A since most of the exams questinos come from the practice exam!

Dr. Constantinou is a great instructor for this course. He's well traveled, and knows his stuff. He adds in little extras like origins of words, and places to see if you get the chance. He definitely likes those who participate in the discussion. His quizzes and exams are easy as he provides the questionsanswers on Carmen.

Very knowledgeable on his subject. Has a Greek accent that takes maybe a week to get used to, but then it's hardly noticeable. Very nice guy with an underlying sense of humor. You only are graded over four exams, but 80% of the questions are posted via online exams and all exams are curved. Not a GE you can just walk through, but still manageable.

He's an intelligent guy who knows his stuff; unfortunately he has a THICK (Greek) accent which is almost impossible to understand. He covers an entire chapter in one class and lectures are long. to do well you NEED TO READ THE BOOK. Do his practice exams online. Questions on the exam come straight from the practice ones.

This class was REALLY hard! I never missed a class and read the book and still struggled major in this class. Many people did. He's hard to understand and does not know how to teach the material.

He is as smart as they come. The class is difficult, challenging but fair- the top score on a test gets a 100% and the rest of the grades are based off that, so if you get a D or E, its because you were that much worse than the top score!

a really hard class from a really tough professor. it takes so much time to study and prepare for this class. he makes things really hard by cramming so much information into the quarter. Thats the big problem: there just isn't enough time to learn and remember everything he teaches.

I actually with most of what has been said so far on here. I was miserable while enrolled in his class. While the previous comments take care of describing how difficult he is they havent said how very boring he is. I wish I would have read this before I took his class. Please don't waste your time or money on him.

This professor is the worst. He makes things much more difficult and stressful than they need to be. Don't take this class if you don't have to. He is also paranoid about attendance and even though he takes attendance at the beginning you also have to wait in line to sign out at the end. Most of the people in my class could not stand this man.

A waste of tuition. I am so mad that I had to go through all this. Please save yourself all the pain and suffering I went through and take a different social science. It just can't get any worse. No matter what you do, you just can't get ahead.The average grade on his exams is a D and on his quizzes an E. The quizzes are the same day is the exams.

Okay everyone listen. If you take Geography 200 with my boy Stavros, you do NOT need to read the book. While his exams aren't exact clones from his practice exams, they have the EXACT SAME QUESTIONS. Words can't describe how stressful Constantinou makes his classes. They are so hard that the average grade in his classes was a D. The thought of this man makes me cringe. I hope never see him again. He should go back where he came from!
