I LOVE DR. ERBES! She is a mother figure on campus. She not only prepares you for college but also gives you useful tips for life. She's so sweet, funny and genuinely cares about her students. There were 3 projects but all of them could be done as a group and she broke up the work nicely so it wasn't that overwhelming. Lots of work but worth it.

Dr. Erbes invests in her students more than any educator I have ever encountered. She puts a lot of thought and effort into each lecture and assignment, and cares about whether the students are responding and learning. She wants you to succeed, and will help you get there every step of the way. She's simply an amazing professor.

Dr. Erbes is one of the BEST professors at Pepperdine. A lot of these ratings talk about attendance policy. Of COURSE you need to show up to class! Dr. Erbes truly prepares her students for the real world. So many alumni still keep in touch with her, enjoy her hospitality, and follow her adventures. I advise everyone to take Dr. Erbes class!

Terrible on research papers. She has two research papers in one semester, both of them is 10+ pages. Limited time. She is sometimes funny, but I do not want to laugh. She is very mean if you are late or absent whatever is the reason. Also, if she does not like you, she will give you low grade.

Dr. Erbes is a truly inspiring professor! She is great at what she does and is highly knowledgeable in her field. I always felt extremely comfortable with asking for help and clarification, which she gave with grace and poise. Dr. Erbes is by far one of the best teachers at Pepperdine and inspires teacher candidates to reach their full potential.

Dr. Erbes means well - at least I hope so. It is just that she is not knowledgeable. She has gotten old, and seems angry all the time. She does not take it out on you, it is just bad to be around it.

She loves what she does but sometimes is a little too intensely involved! Make sure she likes you! A lot of work and the research paper isn't fun. It basically is extremely time consuming class. But if you love teaching then shes good if your passionate about it. BUT YOU HAVE TO STUDY! A lot of quizzes!!!

Dr. Erbes is one of the best professors I have ever had. She's clear and makes class really interesting. Watch out for the attendance policy and chapter quizzes, but everything else is really easy. She really cares about her students and teaching them to be good teachers. Tests, papers, all easy.

She has rubrics for EVERYTHING, which I guess is so she can say she grades fair (which isn't totally true). If you take her, make sure she likes you, because if she doesn't-the class is so horrible. She made me cry more than once. A horrible experience.

She is very good at relating to her students and applying things we are talking about to every day experiences. Dr. Erbes is so good at teaching that I hardly ever take notes, yet I do fine on tests. Great at what she does and a great person!
