Grades as if this is an English class instead of subject matter. If you question her, your grade is dropped. Have taken many online classes and this was the most work for an online class ever had requiring multiple page reports on subject weekly. Don't do it.

Read off directly off powerpoint. Rather than sparking debate, preferred people who agreed with her to make comments. I disagreed with her once, & for rest of semester I believe she tried to lower my grade. Quizzes were on videos we watched in class, usually unrelated, and multiple choice (I got 30s, someone slept through and got 70.) Do NOT take.

DO NOT take this class (especially online). She gives an insane amount of work that has to be extremely detailed and thorough with even then slightest mistake being a major penalty. Even my friends who are currently working towards their masters in sociology don't have this much work. I had virtually no time to work on my actual major courses. run.

Comment:

Mrs. Wensil is a nice teacher and cares about her students success but if you miss class she does take points off your daily grade. Her tests are easy if you study the chapters but her quizzes are hard because you have to pay attention to small details like numbers because they will be on the quiz.

Stephanies class is fairly easy. All of her quizzes and tests are online. I will say that she is crazy. If you can deal with yelling and mildly rude comments every class, you will do fine. Her teaching methods are ineffective but its easy to get an A if you go to class and stay off of your phone.

I LOVED this professor!! She was incredibly smart and always prepared for amazing lectures. Sometimes I would dread going to class but I always left feeling inspired. She's tough but if you listen and have respect for her, you'll be okay. Her lectures are really funny, too. I never felt bored in this class. I will always remember it!

I don't know what this lady is like in person but don't take this class. First off, I'm a comp sci major and I understand everything that I put time into. This lady is a nut. Her assignments are so long and drawn out and she has a big issue clearly explaining what she wants. She takes points off for the dumbest things and gives no clear explanation

This instrucer is the most vague, uninteligable instructor I have had in my entire college career. I absolutely do not recommend this professor. This class is an awkward attempt at Sociology.

This instructor is quite the opposite of good. Takes off points right and left for piddly things. The way she grades makes the class miserable and UN-educational. I would recommend taking this course with a different instructor who cares about the success of their students.

This class and the teacher made me a better student. I was having some trouble and she met with me a few times to help me improve. She also was helpful in improving my writing skills. She always answered my questions and made sure that I was staying on track. I recently transferred to the university and don't get the same from these professors.

I took her class online because I'm in the USMC Reserves and I work full time. She deducts points if any assignments are turned in after 7pm on the day it is due. She also takes 2 weeks just to grade one assignment. She's rude, unfair, and deducts points from papers if they aren't her opinion or directly quoting the textbook. Don't take her class!

Just finished the family class and thought she was a great professor. She tries really hard to help you and make the learning relevant without being boring. Her sense of humor is also good. i would recommend her if you need a class.

Really wish i could've had my tuition money back. She has a poisoned honey personality, seems really nice then shows the fangs. She embarrassed me several times in class. I finally went to her office and asked her if I had done something to offend her & she was rude & said I was being too sensitive. Also told me she'd be surprised if I graduated.

I currently have this professor and I love her. She's funny and knows her stuff about sociology. Some topics can be hard to talk about with a mixed classroom but she makes it all enjoyable. She's hyper and funny. She doesn't tolerate phones, but keeps you busy enough where you don't care about having it. Love her and hope to have her again.

Loved this teacher! She always made everything funny and interesting. Seems tough at first but she is willing to help you and wants you to learn. She loves her profession and helps you learn what you need too. If you have the chance to take her class do it!

Very intelligent, very helpful, very prepared, always a pleasure to hear her teach. She is inspiring in that she made me think of things in a different way. I grew as a person in her class and feel more informed about sociology than ever. She is simply the best! She was recommended to me by other students. I had no interest in sociology before her.

I think this class and the professor was my favorite class, EVER! She was like the best professor and so nice. Her classes were fun, informative, and went very fast. I didn't want to leave. She has a way of making you think about things in ways you don't see coming until it challenges you. I will miss her and this class.
