Do you want a nice, easy, CS course to pass with ease? This is your teacher. Do you want to actually learn CS? Look elsewhere. Don't bother trying to email him, if you want to contact him, you have to do it in person or you will not get a quick reply. He is boring and a quiet talker too.

Comment:

Dr. Taylor is a bit of an acquired taste, but is good when gotten. Novice programmers are recommended to ask a lot of questions. Personally, I already knew many of the programming concepts he would discuss in class, but his teaching of them was adequate. Both flexible with due dates and questions, Taylor's an easy ride if you stay on top of things.

Nice guy, easy grader but you need to self teach this course. Getting to the mid term went fine and then the wheels came off where he didn't explain things well (it's clear he doesn't like teaching Java). Hopefully I can get through future programming courses that require this as a foundation.

Very easy grader! you get an A even if you dont fully complete the hw. Helps you on tests. Has a hard time explaining the subject matter.

One of the most boring teachers ive ever had. Make sure you bring other classwork or hw, or just save your fbing for this class or you will go insane from boredom. He is a nice guy, def out to lunch with no hopes of returning.

Steve is probably the second coming of Jesus. He's the coolest cat this side of the Mississippi. He's the cat's ass, the bee's knees, and he looks like Charlton Heston from The Ten Commandments where he plays Moses. His teaching makes Scheme feel like second nature. Meh, Taylor's a good guy, but he gets off topic really easy. If you need a CS course to graduate, or you already have a decent grade on the subject, this is the class to take. I missed over a third of all his classes and still got a 4.0. Final is a joke, though homeworks are what matter for the class.

Stephen Taylor is one of the most unorganized people existing on the surface of the Earth. Because of this, he is often late to class himself. He loves his job and makes an earnest attempt to get you to love it as well. I commend him for that!

This guy is friggin awesome. If you want help all you ahve to do is ask for it. Often he'll ignore the fact a assignmetn is late if he knows you have been working on it and pass it in done well.

WORST TEACHER EVER. Never taught a thing then gives assignments on stuff he was never taught. Never respondes to emails loses your homework assignments. rambles on about nothing. I have honestly never seen a worse teacher. Homework assignments are frequent and pointless. One of the most aggravating classes ever. If at all possible avoid this teach

The final was a joke(took me 30 min, tops). Read the book and you'll do fine. He's helpful most of the time, and tries to be helpful when his help isn't needed. Very erratic as far as subject coverage goes. Super nice guy, good sense of humor, and not too much homework.
