If you're taking CS 1-3, take it with this professor, not any other professor. He's super organized and has a great teaching style, very clear. Uses lots of visuals. Doesn't assign any textbook readings, just programs for homework. Really cares about his students and will work with you outside of class to make sure you get it. Seriously great guy.

BEST COMPUTER SCIENCE PROF EVER!!! Dr.Shum is basically the reason I am now a Comp Sci major. He does not used the textbook, but his notes are waaay better anyway. Be sure to do the practice tests, they help a lot.
