Hard course, but he is more than fair. Actually uses statistics to make a proper curve. Test are based on homework and lecture, homework is tough, and my grad student was a tough grader. Answers any relative question in class and many others outside of class. Probably the best teacher I have ever had because he actually teaches and inspires you.

Great teacher, tough grader. If you want to learn a lot, take Dr. Grey. If you care more about your GPA, take someone else. He uses the entire class to teach. Well prepared. Knows his stuff. Genuinely cares if you do. Show up, ask questions, try. He will remember and your grade may show it. Bumps a few points to the next letter grade due to effort

Dr. Gray is not an easy teacher, but he will go out of his way to give you the help you need. He frequently confirms everyone follows the lecture. My class asked for a review session before the final, he came in on a weekend to help us prepare. To give you an idea of the difficulty level, about 75% of the class showed up on that saturday.

the guy is extremely capable of teaching the materiel with the most enthusiast way. Moreover, he makes the subject very interesting. His class is not by any means easy. You cannot score an A without a little bit of work. The key to success in his class is to try to understand the martial the way he does, then it is going to make a lot of sense.

Super hard class but I worked my tail off. After taking that class I could join in an internet discussion of professional signal processing engineers on topic of what kind of stationary an LTI would preserve and why. It just says it all.

Hardest tests ever. Talks way too much about derivations, gives one or two examples. HW mandatory. Tests are nothing like the HW or in-class examples. Avoid him at all costs if you care about your GPA

This guy is extremely tough. Its horrible when the class average on a test is in the upper 20s (thats out of 100). This is my final class I need to finish my MS (I have done fine in all my other courses) and I am beginning fear I may have to take this class over. I wish I could give the student reading this some advice on how to pass this course.

Groaned and yawned audibly during our ECE486 presentation. He could have been a lot more attentive, and a little more polite.

Cannot explain even the most fundamental of principles without trying to impress you with his 'big brain'. We found him very arrogant, and insensitve to any questions or needs.
