He's a real solid teacher. He appreciates students that work hard. I think he's burnt out and maybe retired, but I liked his class. Not an easy class but interesting material.

Thought he was a great teacher... if you don't understand the material then 1. your not coming to class or 2. your not listening. HM is easy and helps a lot if you are a poor test taker. If you go to class you will be fine.

This instructor is a funny guy, but he can be hard to understand. If you have his class, I advise that you use the homework and textbook on the tests. Because he will give questions straight from it and some that are based on his opinion. Prepare to work really hard.

His tests are kind of difficult but he is a funny guy who I think is liberal. The homeworks help.

After the 1st day of class, I left thinking it was the most interesting course I was taking. That momentum was lost amidst the math, graphs, and circular explanations. He's brilliant with logic, but intimidating if you don't follow his train of thought at first. The book is really good at explaining what's going on if you're confused.

Worst professor ive had at App by far. His lectures honestly make the material more confusing. He also has no problem with everyone failing a test; in his opinion, its because everyone else is an idiot, not because hes doing something wrong. Not to mention, you could understand the material on his study guides completely and still fail his tests.

I didn't think he was -that- bad, but I can easily see where others would be annoyed with him. He does tell random stories and could explain things better sometimes. He doesn't allow calculators, but the math isn't THAT bad. Here's the key: get a feeling of the types of problems he wants you to know because that's what'll be on the exams.

This professor has a grudge against our generation and shows it by not allowing calculators, telling irrelevant stories in class, not helping you when you take the time to go to his office hours, and simply throwing random facts at you without actually teaching you how to understand statistics. He should not be teaching.

I actually didn't think that he was a bad teacher at all. Certainly not as bad as he's painted out to be. I did well on nearly everything that he gave out with little out of class studying.

Probably the worst teacher Ive had at App so far. It is difficult material, but he gets off topic in class and does a really poor job explaining it. Also, he does not allow you to use calculators on tests, which really doesnt test your understanding of the material at all. Have fun doing 1.9453/.0565 on a timed test.

Do not take! Can be amusing at times but sucks at actually teaching business statistics. The book is no help either so don't rely on that. No attendance policy but he gives pop quizzes some. No calculators allowed on tests. Idiot basically!

Bad Teacher. Should retire. He puts examples of problems on excel, but this does not show how to work them on paper, so it is pretty much useless since you do not use excel in the class or on tests. Cannot follow him in class. You will enjoy this class if you like teaching yourself.

He is a horrid teacher. The subject is hard to begin with and he doesn't explain the topics well at all. The book isn't very explanatory either. Absolutely no calculators on the tests, even though he is fine with Excel for projects or to post the answers to sample problems. You will struggle just to make a C.

He's a really interesting person, and I can tell he loves statistics, but I have been confused throughout the semester. I am typically a straight A student and an econ major but I will be lucky to get a B even though I have completed AND understood the homework. The tests and projects are very confusing.

Well, what can i say I study really hard and go to every class. If you can teach yourself math you will like him. So far I keep going to him asking for help and he blows me off or tells me to read the book (no duh, i tried that, that's why i went to him). I hope he gets better cuz I am really struggling. He won't help me.

You might "hate" him at first, but you will grow to love him. This class is challenging and you MUST attend class to understand the material. The book is useless. If you go to class, take notes, and work the practice problems, you will be amazed at how well you can do in the class. Give it a chance!

Good teacher. It's really hard material, so don't blame him if you don't get it. But go to class and pay attention and he's not too bad.
