Comment:

A three hour law class at night sounds like torture but Bean is so entertaining that time just flew by, and the class is really informative and helpful for real life. Grading was based on briefing cases, which she taught us how to do well, some fun mock cases, a special case presentation, and the big mock trial at the end of the semester.

I had her when she taught an intro law class at FCC, she's a great teacher! She's really funny, she keeps classes interesting, her lectures involve class participation which makes it easier to remember the topics. Definitely take her!

Comment:

Participate in class and do the readings; if you do that, you'll be fine. Bean is passionate about her work and her students, which definitely shows in her lectures. For most exams, she'll take time out of a class to review or at least give a study guide as long as she sees some effort from the class. Overall, an amazing professor.

I absolutely loved Professor Bean's class. I added Law and Society as a second major a month into the course. Do the readings and participate in class and you'll get a good grade. Every day is a new experience with Bean!

I love Professor Bean! This course is the reason I added Law and Society as a double major to my original Psych major, which I wasn't really enjoying. This class is really enjoyable, but if you really want to get a good grade, turn in all the work and do all the readings! It could have been the difference between my A- to an A!

Prof. Bean is the coolest most awesomest person ever. She's incredibly brilliant. She knows exactly what she is talking about. She has great contacts for guest speakers and they are very enthusiastic. She has a lot of experience and knows how to utilize the text. She is great at engaging the class and always has fun anecdotes. WE LOVE HER!

T. Bean is probably one of the best professors that I have had ever. I have no interest in going into law or that kind of profession. I took two classes with her and I wish that she could teach more!! Recommend that ANYONE need to fulfill core or want to tey something new, take her classes! You will NOT regret it. (I know she will read this too!):)

Professor bean is really bad. She couldn't tell me my grade. She wouldn't have office hours. The TA didn't show up for my appointment, so I got none of the help I'm paying for, and a year later she still complains about how badly I did on her poorly constructed mock trial. Twice a week with her is too much. Believe me I could go on. Don't take her!

Comment:

Easily one of the best and funniest teachers I've had while attending Hood. I'd STRONGLY suggest taking her classes if you even have a mild interest in law. Class is never boring with T.Bean.
