Dr. G expects you to do work each week and if you do those short weekly assignments consistently it has been easy to earn good grades. Going into the final paper I have an A in the class; all I did was read the weekly feedback on the written assignments and used the corrections from one week to avoid the same mistake the next.

Comment:
Professor Gilbertson was rude from day one, when I asked her where the (week-late) syllabus for an online class was. She is incredibly unclear on assignments, giving out rubrics AFTER giving out grades. She has been demeaning, humiliating, and overall very mean to all students I've spoken to, not to mention disorganized and slow on grading.

If Anthropology is not your majorpassion in life, don't even try. Lots of work, pretty interesting material but she's a harsh grader. I've taken a few online classes before at this university, but halfway through and this course has been the most work I've had in my 4 years of college. You will definitely learn a lot, but at a painful price.

! She takes forever to grade an assignment. It̢۪s several weeks before you get a graded assignment back. I played catch-up all semester. For a teacher who holds a high standard for assignments she should grade the assignments in a timely manner.

I thought that this was a great class and a great instructor, for someone I never met except through the online sessions, and the only one of those that was mandatory was when we had to present our research to the class. There was a lot of reading and writing, but there was nothing confusing about this class unless you. just didn't read the syllabus

Ms. G is a great professor. I took her for the online Gender and the Cross Cultural Perspective course. She responds to emails very quickly. Also you have to get the book, the majority of the class is reading. (but they are interesting)

I've never had a problem with a class until this one.She was very unclear with expectations for assignments. When I did email her for clarifications she was rude with me on two separate occasions for no reason. Her assignments are expected, if you can ignore her emotional side take the class if not dont take this! I could list many more reasons why

I loved this class and thought the professor was great. We learned about all of the humanities and walked around campus, getting to know the art and architecture. We even had a dance section in the gym and had a folkloric dancer come from Boca Raton to teach us dances. The final project was my favorite, and I made a pointillism picture with markers

I loved the readings, coursework, and fieldtrips, but especially enjoyed the two research projects including my own geneology. I recommend this course and instructor to anyone with a desire to learn about diversity in the U.S.

Prof. G is a genuinely nice person. She is very smart and well traveled! The class felt a little like it wasnt structured clearly and at times it would be hard to tell what your grade was. She however, make the course fun, goes above and beyond for her students and will always give out second chances.

I disliked this teacher since she does not clarify what she wants from her students. Sometimes she was great and other times she would bite people's heads off. She gave a lot of busy work for no reason.

I didn't like her as a professor. Outside of the classroom, I thought she was great. Inside, she was rude and she talked down to the students in the classroom. I wouldn't take a class with her again.
